Remembered the DalesBus 822 runs via Fountains Abbey aswell, so it's a moot point whether you have to gamble on a connection at Ripon if you could plan your trip on a Sunday (or otherwise catch a 22 at 0847 from York Station and potter about Ripon for nearly an hour to get the Vamooz at 1100).

Saw this today - Dales & District Solo YJ16DXR Not a Vamooz/Transdev bus? Are you sure it wasn't the 139, which Dales & District have been running for years?

No I passed it on the B6265 between the Studley Roger and Galphay turnings at around 10 past 3 with Fountains Abbey Free Bus on the destination blind - the 139 would have been around under 4 hours earlier or 1h20 later EDIT - Uploaded picture, still from Sports Cam video, onto Flickr www.flickr.com/photos/130591503@N04/48698404451/in/photolist-2hcj41X
