Hi,
Just wondering how passenger numbers have been on Arriva buses since the changes in North Kirklees?
Has the 229 lost custom since no longer going via Batley? Does the 228 carry any passengers west of Cleckheaton towards Brighouse? How is the newly extended 251 and 271 services performing towards Cleckheaton? Is anyone travelling the new very elongated route between Cleckheaton and Batley?
Cheers

Cheers I've travelled on the 229 since the changes and can confirm its too much running it with as many deckers now and it could easily be done half and half. The 271 i've still to see a half full single decker on it let alone a decker.

I’ve travelled on the new 229 and can categorically say it is NOT ‘Fast’ as it shows on the destination screen. It’s no faster now omitting Batley than previously and the off-peak passenger numbers are low. The 201 takes what seems like an eternity to get to Leeds, especially with the ride around Morley. Again I would say it’s not carrying top heavy loads. Whenever I’ve seen the evening 200 (Leeds-White Rose Centre) it’s been carrying next to nobody and it’s usually a double decker used.
