As many of you will know already, Airbus today officially revealed the worst kept secret in recent civil aviation history, with the news that the iconic A380 will not be made after 2021. A victim of changing times, it seems the age of 4-engined planes is over, most carriers preferring twin-engined planes such as the 787 Dreamliner and Airbus's own A350 to Boeing's 747 and the A380. To me, it does seem a little sad that this revolutionary plane has only been in production 11 years and now no more in two years time. I know they'll still be in the skies for many more years to come, but this plane and also the 747 will be missed when they are no more. Is there any forum members who have flown on the A380, and what do they think?
