Most likely its 4 more B5TLs for Malton to replace 427-429 (and possibly an ‘Extra’ so they don’t need to keep borrowing 421). I would agree - it seems logical enough as it would complete the fleet replacement there to the new standard, especially as I'm pretty sure the old B9TLs won't meet the Leeds LEZ standard. I fear you are correct but don't forget that Aireline uses at least 3 out of the 4 Keighley Bus Company liveried double deckers on a daily basis and none of these will be suitable after January. The optimist in me says the remaining four vehicles are to replace 402, 403, 2708 & 2716 at Keighley, don't forget the Streetdeck demo was trialled on Aireline before it moved to Cityzap.

I wonder if they are finding the Optares are underpowered. Since they've gone to all Euro VI, the most powerful diesel engine you can get even in a Versa is only 174bhp, which is doesn't seem enough for a bus marketed as 'interurban'. The standard engine in the E200MMC and Streetlite – which have a similarly lightweight chassis – are over 200bhp, and the E200MMC has a bigger engine available as an option on the full-size model as well. Certainly, I think, this is the first truly interurban route to come up for replacement since they began buying Versas - the section south to Bolton has, as I recall, a fair amount of fast running. The Aireline 60 I guess is partly interurban, and the 464 is pretty much a set of shorter cross-town routes all joined together. I wonder if Optare might reconsider this in future? Don't forget the Mainline and Dalesway routes – the M4 in particular will want quite a bit of oomph going over the moor between Cowling and Laneshawbridge.

Anybody else having problems accessing WYIS fleetlists? All I get is a page showing PDF couldn't be opened Yes, different errors depending on the browser used. With regard to the bustimes lists I linked wondered how accurate they are as I understand its the ticket machine that transmits the details and if it gets moved between buses without the entered bus being changed will transmit the original details; struggling to believe a MyBus B10BLE was on the 36 and two vehicles probably should not have been in use since late afternoon 1 July as their was an evening peak collision in Harrogate bus station between a Route 1 B7RLE and another Transdev vehicle; the former was reported as having broken windows and one of them has been described by a work colleague as having a smashed in rear.

Not sure they can really market them as brand new buses seen as they are the ones that they used for the drax services...

726 and 727 are vacant fleet numbers so they will most likely reuse them plus its an artists impression rather than the actual vehicles so not guaranteed to be wholly accurate.

Good news, but all I see is a one line ad for Wix.com. However it will be good to see the site again.

You need to scroll down the page and the links to the Transdev and First York pages are there.
There doesn't appear to have been too many changes to the Yorkshire Transdev fleets this summer, to be honest. I noted 1850 resplendent in the new scheme in Bradford over the weekend, which is recorded on there, and most of the York Versas are now wearing the new two-tone blue City & Country scheme.
With quite a number of new vehicles imminent across the group I suspect more cascades will follow - I thought there were vehicles missing from the group order announcement, but they appear to be 1x B5TL/Wright for Harrogate (additional for the 36) and either 2x or 3x B5TL/Wright to complete the upgrade of the Coastliner fleet (the initial announcement was for 22 vehicles, but only 18 were detailed). (The remainder, of course, is 5x 6-cylinder-engined StreetDecks for CityZap at York, 13x E20D MMC (11.8m) for Blackburn for the 1, and now 5x E20D MMC (presumably ex-dealer stock) for the newly-gained York tenders.

Thanks. The site works fine on my iPhone but not at all on my iPad. It maybe an iOS issue - mine is still on iOS 10. Not tried it on my pc.
