69271 now repainted. Meaning the batch from 69270 - 69274 have all been done recently. Albeit 69274 is long term VOR currently

Huddersfield 37291 in Olympia. Rest to follow I believe. So its the end of the Holme Valley connect branded buses then. Isn't it only about a year ago 37300 lost its heritage livery for the HVC colours. I wonder if when repainted they'll keep their driver "tribute" names. I suppose it'll only be a matter of time before the "pointless" HD Connect branding disappears. Given the extinction of route branding in Halifax, it now looks like Huddersfield will be next. Maybe even the venerable X63 First Express batch will don olympia (again) before long.

Strange that HX and HD are removing all branded liveries whereas most parts of FirstGroup are extending them.
It could be that First WY management are happy concentrating on Leeds, and the rest of the company are expected to just plod along quietly with the standard livery

Well, I wouldn't complain too much about standard livery as going forward that'll keep the fares down when stuff get's transferred over, you'd only need to change the name and to be honest, does that really need doing, after all people are only bothered about what it says on the front of the bus. Going forward, I really can't see the green painted Leeds vehicles getting transferred anywhere over the next few years so once the other Leeds vehicles are transferred, or painted Green, then any transfers will be between Halifax, Huddersfield and Bradford.

HD Connect is staying and it's not really pointless, It looks good. I'll agree that the HD Connect livery looks good, but to clarify what i meant about it being pointless, what purpose does it actually serve?, what information does it actually give out regarding the designated routes it runs on. If you look at the soon to be defunct Holme Valley branding this clearly displays the actual route numbers the service runs on, ie the 3xx batch of services and promotes bus/rail ticketing options available to Holme Valley passengers, in a similar vein to what the previous Holmfirth Connection branded Royales did. However the HD Connect branding contains no specific route numbers or other information for passengers. We as forum members know this branding was introduced for the 370's batch of services which link Almondbury/Dalton and Moldgreen via the town centre to Lindley and the HRI, but iv'e always felt that First missed a trick in not promoting these services as perhaps "Hospital Connect" and putting the routes numbers on. Given First have competition on the Wakefield Road corridor from Tiger and up New Hey Road with Streamline (or whatever they're called these days) surely it's an opportunity missed. That's what i meant when i described HD Connect as pointless.

It could be that First WY management are happy concentrating on Leeds, and the rest of the company are expected to just plod along quietly with the standard livery I think that's exactly what it is, Leeds being the major revenue earner therefore worthy of their own identity/livery etc. I agree it does seem a little odd to "standardise" HX and HD when various First Opco's up and down the nation are receiving local identities/branding etc. Sheffield/Doncaster/Glasgow/Bristol and Aberdeen amongst others. Even First Scotland East/Bluebird which are barely profitable have their own livery/branding.I also thought that the HX and HD repaints would be in the latest olympia "urban" livery given its already made an appearance in nearby York and is quite prevalent in the FSE/FGW fleets.
