"Summarised below are the main bus service changes in the Leeds area to be introduced on 23rd or 24th February 2019 unless otherwise stated.
www.wymetro.com Please note, service 39 has been withdrawn by Square Peg from the 18th February on the grounds that the service was not commercially viable. This service provided an hourly link between north and west Leeds (Gledhow, Moortown, Headingley, Kirkstall, Armley, Wortley and White Rose).
All of these communities are within walking distance of regular buses to the City Centre so any journeys on the 39 can still be undertaken through interchange.
This service was previously operated by First and Connexions Buses who both withdrew the service as not commercially viable.
As alternative means of undertaking journeys on the 39 are available through interchange, it would not be within the guidelines for support for the Combined Authority to fund a replacement service.
