FTB Huddersfield change is of no surprise as it rarely had a full load even when it started when I attended Waterfront Quarter a few years ago when it opened and it's a nightmare to get more then one bus at the stop outside the college itself.

It'll be interesting to see if the 884 extensions to Keighley are just the current positioning journeys on the 62 - if so, I wonder if the morning one will miss out Silsden estates as the afternoon one does. K7 is interesting - it's a couple of years since Keighley bus company asked people about proposals to reduce the K7 frequency to every 20 minutes and extend it to Skipton, replacing the 66. It was comprehensively rejected by respondents. Looks like the frequency reduction is happening now without those improvements.

Just over the border, Keighley's 72 will be taking over the Sunday X43 between Skipton and Grassington, with some changes to weekday times.

Reducing the K7 isn't actually a bad idea, it rarely seems to be full and has a long layover, typically 15 minutes in every 45. It will also save a bus, which given how many times 662 journeys have been cancelled lately due to lack of bus may help to improve things

Bradford only have 17 routes. Is this correct? If correct its getting worse year by year. They should sell up.

The new 576 timetable is available online.
PVR looks to have dropped from 10 to 9 buses, meaning throughout the day every 100 minutes the frequency drops to every 15 minutes with a missing trip for example 1100, 1110, 1125, 1140, 1150...
The peak hour timetable looks to have no enhancements meaning it drops to every 12 or every 15 quite a bit, rather than being every 10 mins.

Most bus fares in Keighley haven't increased that much over the last few years, with some day tickets having dropped.

I’d be surprised if there were many town services in places similar to Keighley, able to support a frequency of 10-15 minutes nowadays.

Most bus fares in Keighley haven't increased that much over the last few years, with some day tickets having dropped. I don't support the idea of almost empty buses running around adding to the congestion. However, I was trying to suggest that the fare increases (of which Keighley has had 2 within 9 months) will undoubtedly be a factor in passenger numbers reducing especially as Keighley isn't short of taxis and it's already well known that if 2 adults are travelling together the bus is always the most expensive option on the local routes

It would be a good idea to divert the 19 via The Springs at Thorpe Park aswell.
The 19 can terminate at Garforth Lane End rather than East Garforth.
The 9A could also divert via The Springs to maintain a decent evening service to Cross Gates.

As I've said, there's not been as much of an increase in fares in Keighley recently. The 2 sets of fare rises were on different fares, with a day ticket valid on much of the K7 dropping from £3.20 to £3 (£2.40 on the phone app). A weekly ticket valid on the entire route is £18 - is that particularly unreasonable? Taxis are rarely cheaper than the bus if you're doing a return journey, though can be for a single journey for 2 people.
