How much does this damage the reputation and franchise of Arriva Northern? I'm not sure an end is in sight, for either party to back down now would cause issues on negotiating in the future. Not good when they are cancelling (or have been) 7-15% of services due to timetabling and duty issues, sure the sympathy and goodwill for both parties is running thin now.

Arriva can’t back down, it’s in the franchise agreement.

Saturday strikes have so far been rare, and usually only for maximum publicity, notably the day of the Grand National and the start of the recent Bank Holiday weekend. Last weekend I committed to June 23rd for my next Leeds visit, and even looked up cheap Northern fares to Halifax and to Leeds. As these were inevitably slow I booked National Express instead. Just as well really!

Saturday has slightly different times as it is aimed more at the leisure market, according to northern. Not sure what that means, but the first train to/from BDQ is cut (07:47 SX to Ilkley)and some others (17:41 SX to Skipton)

A number of trains (including the 07:47 Bradford - Ilkley and 08:25 Ilkley to Bradford) were 'reinstated' but the online timetable not updated to reflect that.
