I have seen Transdev introducing this route, possibly as a replacement for routes previously run by other operators.
I am wondering whether we can use Haarogate Plus Zone day tickets on this route at least between Ripon and Harrogate? It seems fair as we can use these on route 36 but I am prepared it might not work out like that.
I thank any of you who can let me know!

On the 36 you can go as far North as Ripley. On the 22 you can use it between Harrogate and Knaresborough.

It seems that Transdev now have a streamlined choice of day tickets. By the looks of things, there are local ones restricted to individual towns, otherwise we need Daytrippers.

They have always been like that - no Harrogate zone ticket has ever extended to Ripon.

If it isn't too ambitious, I hope once the electric buses are in service at Harrogate to do the following one day:-
CityZap Manchester - Leeds - York 22 Ripon via Harrogate 36 Harrogate Local electric bus 7 Leeds CityZap Manchester
If I had any doubts, I could book a coach back to Manchester say 2 hours after the last CityZap back there.

I did finally ride route 22 last Friday (22nd). Due to a delay with the trains, I missed the 12.45 from York to Knaresborough, but at least that meant the 2.45 from York went through to Harrogate. It was York & District Versa 213.
