There's a missing service which is mentioned but not detailed - service 634, which piecing together the evidence will run Bradford - Wrose - Shipley - Lucy Hall Drive during evenings and Sundays, replacing the 633 and part of the 659. Also, big evening and Sunday losses for First Bradford.

Surprised to see a Halifax to Keighley service! Even if it is only 3 on a Saturday.

getdown.org.uk/b/35-newEYMS will continue to run the 18 on a reduced timetable, for an interim period. Many journeys during the week will only run as far as North Duffield, with ERYC providing onward connections to Bubwith and Holme on Spalding Moor.

Sorry somehow managed to commit this and managed to leave a chunk out at the same time. Should read:- Someone failed to proof read the May changes initial list and then released it (later corrected) and it got posted above. The 903 and the 948 are both shown as connecting with trains at Hebden Bridge How strange.
The moral isthe story is to stop trying to type on this forum using an iPad(fat fingers and late at night) and rely on the good old fashioned PC.

Someone at WYMetro failed to proof read the May changes leaflet before printing. The 903 and the 948 are both shown as connecting with trains at Hebden Bridge. How strange. It doesn't mention stations on my version.

633 presumably still serving West Bowling evening and Sunday, but the Shipley Glen via Coach Road section to be served by 675 on all days.

What’s the reason for Squarepegs 39 is that competing with daytime HCT connexionsbus 38.

Why are Squarepeg going up against First/HCT on the 8/9 route between Pudsey-Farsley-Horsforth?

Keighley.. 1045 1315 1445 Denholme.. 1102 1332 1502 Halifax... 1122 1352 1522
Wow - I can see why it's been given an X prefix: just 17 minutes from Keighley to Denholme, whereas the 67 is given 27 minutes. And only 37 minutes for the entire journey which even away back in the days of YWD service 2 took about 50 minutes, IIRC. This is a commercial service, I take it? What happened to the idea of an hourly off-peak service between Halifax and Keighley which was talked about some months back?

If it's operated by a Transit van it'll be quicker than a proper bus and if the X denotes some sort of limited stop arrangement or that it omits Cullingworth, that'll save more time. 37 mins doesn't seem unreasonable.

I think it be good if squarepeg did a Moor Allerton - Gledhow- Oakwood- Crossgates - Colton route. Now that would be unique. (Ironically linking a Sainsbury’s to a Sainsbury’s sounds farfetched but interesting . Would be good to see these new times for the 9 and 39 the times are done in sync with existing 8/9 and 38 routes with spacing. And not the “run 5/10 mins infront of the other route “

They could have promoted the route same way the old 500 (Brontebus 3 ) runs.

It doesn't fit well with Transdev's existing services to Denholme. They'd either be odd frequencies to Denholme or every 20 minutes then odd frequencies to Bradford. Transdev have been reducing frequencies on Denholme services. Odd timing, with hundreds of new houses going up.

Squarepeg’s new 9 and 39 are timed to run at the opposite half-hour to the existing 9/38 services. Both are hourly in the Mon-Fri off peak hours with a few extra school holiday only and peak time journeys.
The 39 has two route variations from the 38, the most obvious that it terminates at Brackenwood turning circle running via the full length of Brackenwood Drive. It also diverts at Whingate via Tong Road, Wesley Road to serve Armley Town Street.

I originally thought that First were pulling out between Horsforth and Pudsey and Squarepeg were taking it over, I live on that section and there isn't currently a massive demand for a second bus and hour. Whilst I'm all for increased bus frequencies and getting people onto buses, I will give it 6 months before they're both cancelled, especially as they must be running commercially.

It seems amazing that, a good many years ago now, there was an hourly bus service between Halifax and Keighley, while Hebden Bridge-Keighley had only a handful of buses on certain days of the week. Now the situation wil soon be reversed, hourly daytime service between HB and Keighley, and only three buses a week direct from Halifax to Keighley (none at the moment). What would be the reasons behind this? Is the Keighley to HB route used much by people commuting into Lancashire? Is the growth in tourism to HB and Haworth a factor? I suppose with Keighley and Halifax being rather similar in size, there isn't really much call for travel from one to the other.
