As if contravision were not bad enough - I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw this nonsense on 37645! Attachment Deleted

"Don't worry about it, Giles. Passengers don't want to look out of windows!"

It's absolutely abysmal. It looks even uglier in real life and it makes what is, let's be honest, a slightly depressing looking bus even worse.
It's even worse in Edinburgh - I'm not sure what I was angrier about: the fact First have put those stupid massive adverts on their brand new E400MMCs, or the fact Lothian (who I'd expect better of) have put them on some of theirs!
And just whilst I'm complaining... that advert is even stupider because the extra room for the bigger advert hasn't even been used, it's just plain colour.
Whilst I don't think advertising on buses is the devil it's going too far and it's making the bus look like a mobile billboard, rather than something people actually *want* to travel on.

All the 56 Gemini’s 37645 - 37666 have them fitted. Except 37649. The advert is contravision, but the window has been blacked out. 37650 lost its advert one windy night, so just has a few brackets and still the blacked out window. 649 didn’t get it because it’s only recently returned to service after a engine rebuild

At some stage someone should have stepped back and said that this is unacceptable.
