These latest Bradford Streetdecks could prove to be a significant batch of buses, as being one of the last diesel buses taken into stock within our area. Good to see some investment in new buses outside Leeds.

What's going to happen to the X6 branded streetdecks? It seems the city of Bradford streetdecks have replaced them, are they going to get rebranded? Sorry if this has already been answered, I don't think anybody else has asked the question.

Sorry if this has already been answered, I don't think anybody else has asked the question. From what I know, they are staying at Bradford for other routes. In my opinion, their best route would be route X63 with branding modified accordingly.

Huddersfield were doing the entire X63/363 boards supposedly until January, It's now March and they're still doing them. The Bradford X63 branded B9TL's transferred to Huddersfield to cover Bradford's share of these boards. Maybe it's possible Huddersfield will retain the X63 permanently and the Streetdecks you refer to will remain in Bradford, allowing the withdrawal of the remaining ALX400's and earlier B7RLE's.

The transfer of Bradford X63 workings from Bradford to Huddersfield was another change I missed. The other, which I did refer to earlier, was the transfer of route 72 from Bramley back to Bradford.

X63 and 363 don't run via Odsal Top, haven't done for years. They go on the underpass. X63 runs nonstop to Mayo Avenue, not really noticed which way it goes now but last time I caught it it went on the guideway?

Neither of those statements are correct They do use the guide way, there is no other way of serving Mayo Avenue inbound if they didn’t They don’t run non stop to Odsal Top as they stop at Mayo Avenue and in any case don’t run via Odsal Top

Interestingly, according to BusTimes, the X6 is back in the hands of the X6 streetdecks today, with the new ones mostly just on the 72

Osdal top is the roundabout over the A641 mate. The Map on bustimes.org doesn't show it running on May Avanue either.

Osdal top is the roundabout over the A641 mate. The Map on bustimes.org doesn't show it running on May Avanue either. To clear any confusion. From X63 Bradford: Can serve the guideway outbound of traffic is bad, but doesn’t have to. Mayo Avenue is served by the X63, it then goes under Odsal Top Rounadbout staying on Manchester Road, next stop is Tesco at bottom of Netherlands Avenue, then all stops to Fartown Bar. To X63 Bradford. Non stop after Huddersfield Railway Station to Fartown Bar, then all stops to Larch Hill (one after Netherlands Avenue). Then non stop to Mayo Avenue (in guideway). Then non stop once again to Bradford. Some X63’s that don’t use the guideway are buses that aren’t equipped with guidewheels. 363 serves all stops (including Hall Ings H11) and uses the full guideway in both directions. At Odsal Top, it still goes under the bridge staying on Manchester Road. Source: I have driven the route countless times.

What I can't tell is whether the Bradford batch of Streetdecks are only sufficient for routes 72 & X6 or whether there are sufficient spares for other routes. Even if none can be allocated to other routes midweek, it would be cool if some work other routes on Sundays such as route 645.

Looking at bustimes.org for example shows them being allocated to 72, X6, 680, 612, 626, 620, 622. They can't be allocated to the 645 however because of the guided busway.

Starting to get the older Streetdecks turning up more on Bradford local routes as well.
