Hmm, about right - except Pennine didn't go to the wall - they chose to wind down and cease their services (I don't believe anyone went unpaid).

Hmm, about right - except Pennine didn't go to the wall - they chose to wind down and cease their services (I don't believe anyone went unpaid). Perhaps we should say that they saw the writing on the wall, and the writing said that they were going to it. Because they were in the fortunate position of having outside sources of income, they were better able to close down the company in an orderly and responsible manner, rather than running away like a thief in the night leaving creditors hammering on the gates and passengers bemused waiting for a bus that never came. But when all is said and done, the company was no longer financially viable and ceased trading as a result.

I said it was about right, but it doesn't help an argument if there's factual errors in it.
