Very first experience of Yorkshire Tiger on a very wet Monday morning with my plans for exploring Holmfirth aborted. Decided to head for Wakefield for no particular reason other than it being a ride of almost an hour. Driver of 10:40 Holmfirth BS to Wakefield BS was fantastic. Very skillful - fast but safe.

That must be a first. Wonders will never cease.

That must be a first. Wonders will never cease. Why do you say that?

Hi Jimobasa, I know you've been on the forum for over a year now, but you must have missed the memo. Just so you know, youre not supposed to post anything positive, especially when it comes to Tiger. Thanks for your understanding.

In answer to your question:- If I remember correctly YT was set up in September 2013. It still has 4 different liveries:-YT, T Blue K Line and Centrebus. I have yet to see a driver in a full uniform or a bus that does not need a drop of soap and water(except the new airport buses). The route I live on has a half hourly service if you are lucky and drivers who really do not appear to care. Hence my carcastic comment. It is a company that needs someone at management level who will get a grip. Then it could become a company that drivers would have a pride in.

I work in the areas they operate in and it comes across as they prioritise the airport runs above the rest of their operation. The new single deckers on the airport runs they use look good but then you see some of the other vehicles in the fleet and the quality drops in a big way. Yeah theirs costs involved and not every operator has the financial clout the go out by a fleet of brand new vehicles but at the same time their has to be a point where the cast offs from arriva have to stop. It just seems at times that tiger is just the Arriva dumping ground for vehicles before they go see that big cutter in the sky and whilst that continues to happen they are never going to make headway of their own and be taken seriously. New management is needed with their own fresh ideas but with some backing from arriva in the financial department. Yeah Tiger is a low budget operation but doesn't mean it has to come across as low budget.

Yorkshire Tiger yet to update their website with the timetables from the service changes. Looks like I can still catch the 241.
Looks like the 262 has been updated but this opens an excel spreadsheet of all Honley Services.

Well one thing to come out of that is that it's an interesting insight into what runs Honley operate. Looks like they are now doing the 262 rather than Waterloo. Also that they are doing the 83A
Also you click on the timetable for the 964, it goes to a dead page that is hosted on the new website that never happened.

I couldnt help notice that the other day it looks as though Honley now do the 262s and Waterloos 231/2 services now work interwork onto the 324

The K88 (of all things) also links through to all "Huddersfield" I.e Waterloo services including the 101 Bon Marche.
The 429 seems a strange service, any idea what it might be for?

What IS Tiger's new thing about redoing the LED destination screens so frequently, and that the most recent ones regularly have misspelt place names (and some are non-capitalised)! It's just beyond me why they don't just use the new Arriva Yorks text style and be done with it! (some early Tigers used it up till summer 2k14) Especially on the LBA routes it doesn't look very professional & therefore doesn't create the best first impression

Yes... not a problem Not a problem so long as you don't mind coming across as an organisation that doesn't care about getting things right. Ironic that you're commenting on the format of the date in that post. Perhaps these things do register with people.

I mean, the misspelt (and incorrectly, non-capitalised) place names doesn't look very professional, not the text style itself
