Thanks for clearing this up for us Graham, but to be fair we were only reporting the facts the VOSA published. By the way, please delete the reference to bus nuts, we are all trying to create a more friendly forum.

I think further discussion of this is best left until any outcome is reported following the hearing. Best not to assume anything at this stage.

And that Closes that chapter.... After another round of dealings with the TC, they've had their license revoked and have ceased trading with immediate effect wymetro.com/travelnews/busalerts/Stanley_Gath_buses/Routes 134/183/249/487/488/489 will not run. WYCA trying to find replacements for one or two of these routes

On the 2nd July "malli" posted that some of you bus nuts and vosa have got things a little bit wrong. It would appear not in the light of the comments by the TC and the closure of the firm.

WYCA trying to find replacements for one or two of these routes 183 and 249 are already been operated by Ct plus and bl travel so I wud imagine they might pick up the extra routes. The 134 cud easily b replaced by the 410/411 which wud only really leave the 487/8/9.

I believe metro may look for someone to run the 134 as, although most of route is covered theres no bus from castleford that goes via the malt shovel pub since the arriva service 135 was scrapped last year, unless another operator comes and takes all the routes i cant see the cheq-knott runs being replaced. Arriva are gonna be alot busier around pontefract now.

Penfold Did nt realise I had until I read it back. Just an idea/suggestion but stringers have a few darts parked in their yard daily that aren't in use. They could run the 134 service twice an hour yeah they would maybe have to hire an extra driver or 2 but I woukd imagine the service would fetch the revenue in the cover the cost

Now if his daughter was indeed running the new business and in fact "bought the existing vehicles from the previous owners" how come the previous owner is selling the buses not her? So defo looks like theirs not going to be an m travel mark 3

487/8/9 not fully covered and leaves significant gaps. Broomhill avenue/womersley road has no service since the 420 was withdrawn. Nothing travels along cobblers lane/Northfield avenue now bar a school service. Not good if you have poor mobility.

Just looked on Flickr by looks of it they hav already been running a 407 service in an yellow 54 plate transit minibus so I wud imagine this 406 service to b run with a similar vehicle

Yeah but surely they wud hav to invest in a more suitable vehicle that transit must be a short-term fix surely

Depends what you think Malli was referring to Personally, I think the user was clearing up why Graham Mallinson was named on the action. The various articles prove he wasn't involved so I would say the user was right.
