I wonder when the Volvo electric single-decks will be in service in Harrogate?
I understand that they are due to decide the announcer of stops etc on or soon after June 11th.

Have the Volvos been delivered yet? Harrogate bus station bays 2&3 have been a building site for months now as have the two layover spaces by the back wall. Cabinets have been sitting there waiting to be installed for some time.

The electrics are still be delivered according to the latest WYIS fleet list (30 May) - the quoted early 2018 delivery looks a bit questionable.

At least one is in the country, as it was photographed en route to (presumably) Milbrook. Wouldn’t surprise me if all have been delivered, and are in storage, as from the various reports it appears that it could be the infrastructure installation that is causing the delays

Yes, I believe all the buses have been delivered to Volvo in the UK, and it is infrastructure ‘issues’ that are responsible for the delayed start date. The last I heard was August, but unsure if that is still the expectation.

Here’s what HCT had to say about the installation ...and he wonders why Transdev won’t bother discussing potential partnerships with him!

Thank you all for updating me as far as you could about electric buses. Given that my previous 3 visits to Harrogate were in 2003, 2008 & 2013, it would be brilliant to ride an electric bus there later in 2018!

...and he wonders why Transdev won’t bother discussing potential partnerships with him! Its always a case of do as I say not as I do by Mr Temple, his tweets are an absolute disgrace to the industry and you do not have to look very far to see despite an initial unease as the ex Stevensons routes were worked out Transdev have now published a joint timetable with Reliance showing they are perfectly happy to work in partnership with a sensible operator. Some services would need to have been moved out of the bus station to facilitate the installation and on weekly frequency of stand use the X4 and X12 (or the X6 and X6a) are obvious ones to go. Mr Temple has previously whined about the bus station charges, presumably he is actually saving money at the moment. The alternate stop for the X4 and X12 is close to the main pedestrian crossing to the town from the bus station so passengers are not particularly inconvenienced except in inclement weather as there is no shelter and the only real inconvenience is the resultant blocking of one lane of the southbound A61

So probably not long until they are in service now. I would expect September at the latest.

Contrary to previous WYIS lists the current ones no longer has the older Versas as being disposed of and Yorks 203 is not shown as withdrawn, Harrogate Gemini 3613 is no longer indicated as going off lease and none of the stored B10BLEs are now indicated as being for York. The Harrogate Versas 207-214 instead are indicted as being returned off lease in 2019

Typical Transdev style - promised to replace the entire fleet early this year, then the second half it's still not here and there are only three new buses. 426 has now moved to Rosso: www.flickr.com/photos/paul_17com/29906416038/in/pool-3045709@N20I wonder if this having already moved means the PVR's permanently dropped at Malton, meaning the 845 won't be coming back...
