Looks like the Spondon Flyer.
They are getting additional Solos and I expect they will brand the existing ones as well

I currently plan to visit the area in September. With these new Versas due this Autumn I wonder whether waiting until late October will make all the difference?
If I do miss out this year I can always ride a Versa on route 60 from Leeds to Kirkstall next year instead.

I reckon that the following will happen
60 gets its new aireline versas And K7 goes under the jets brand with the new solos And The K7 branded versas get repainted yellow and green into dalesway colours And The 66 goes back to every 20 mins again

I think Jets branding will be for the K-series locals (K1/2/3/5/6/10) operated by Solo's, leading to the withdrawl of time expired Darts.

Alex tweeted today that 22 new buses are heading to Yorkshire.
No info on permutations, what we kind of know is..
A quantity of Versas for the 60 A quantity of Solos for the Keighley Jets Electric buses for Harrogate, is he including those in the number? More double decks for Coastliner are due at some point in the next few years?

Incidentally, anyone know where the Jets name came from?
Of the branding introduced at Keighley recently (Brontebus for Haworth routes, Dalesway for Skipton, Aireline for the 60) all of which fit with the specific routes, Jets for the K-series routes seems a bit obscure?

Would be more appropriate for Whitby services!!!!!

It's no more obscure than Hotline to be fair. I expect it came from within the head of Ray Stenning If you look at the brand names used by Trent Barton and Go North East you get a mix of local sounding ones, and ones that are a bit random.

Jets is an awful brand name second only to Pulse, both of which are meaningless. I just hope that given all the brands that are soon to be in use won't prevent bus swaps from occurring during late running. There's been numerous times in the past when only spare bus has been a shuttle and that hasn't been used as it was the wrong colour bus for the route

I'm sure it will be backed up with more publicity and marketing than Pulse ever was!

Is there not a theme along with the Shuttle in its Space Shuttle sense; will their be a Solo called Comet for example.

I think Jets branding will be for the K-series locals (K1/2/3/5/6/10) operated by Solo's, leading to the withdrawl of time expired Darts. Paradoxically, this could be an incentive to come now before the Darts are withdrawn. We already have Solo SRs in the area anyway.

Darts are mostly used on Wharfedale Links anyway, latterly since those services started you saw very few in Keighley itself

I did Flickr individual routes, and all the K10s that came up were Darts. Admittedly just 2 of these are recent and the others a year old. www.flickr.com/search/?text=keighley%20bus%20k10

A Dart is also being used on the Drax-Selby service.

A Dart is also being used on the Drax-Selby service. Keighley were using 703 last week. As it wasn't in the yard when I left York at 7 last night, it may be that something different will be used this week.

Saw Olympian 976 being towed through Shelf this morning. Time must have come to meet its maker.

I have devised a potential itinerary involving routes K7/10 to/from Haworth. If route K10 is still a Dart instead of a Solo, I can ride a Solo on route K2/3 instead. IIRC I rode a Dart on route 66 in 2009. These vehicles can be a bit cramped.
As it is, I had an incentive outside the world of buses to time my trip here to September or October, now destined to be later this month, irrespective of the exact fleet at the time.

Not sure about the vehicle allocation for the K10. Last few times i've seen it since the Jets came into service, it's been either a B10 or B7.

All the above were Jets today, and they've got enough with spares on top.
The K9 was always big buses as well, even before recent changes, so that has been converted to minibus.

The K10 seems to be allocated a Solo now. The initial press release did say 'most' of the K network would be operated by new buses, so I wonder if the K7 is to be converted to Solo operation with the current Versas cascading on to the 60 alongside the new ones? Currently there are 10 Solos with a PVR of 8 (potentially 9 depending on where the additional K10 bus comes from) so that should leave enough spare for all journeys to be run with new buses
