On the subject of branding. A bit of more common route renumbering (and possibly shortening like Transdev) would allow Arriva to brand for Dewsbury Road and Hunslet Road corridors. Folks in those areas have loads of different Arriva service numbers to remember when catching bus home from Leeds.

They prefer to use SD because of the length, theory obviously being, if you can drive a SD which is 40ft then you can drive a DD

They prefer to use SD because of the length, theory obviously being, if you can drive a SD which is 40ft then you can drive a DD Also the specification of a test bus requires it to be in excess of 10m long, fitted with ABS brakes and capable of at least 50MPH. Therefore it makes sense to ensure that all your training vehicles meet that criteria, otherwise (as in the past) you have to borrow a test suitable vehicle from another depot or area.

Just a suggestion but wud nt a solo b best suited for the new 134 service? I don't think it would be best suited when M Travel/Stanley Gath used full size deckers on the route. Junction 32 is a popular place! The only solos they have are the 63 regs in Selby and the Metro liveried ones in Wakefield, which would be unlikely to transfer across!

True but the deckers they used were rarely full and wud nt it me sense to use a smaller vehicle?

From the times I have seen the 134 when passing it looks like it can fill a single decker most days and can be viable to do so.

If you look at the timetable, I'd say the 134 is likely to be a double decker in September
