Haslingden depot is being vacated this weekend as it being retained by Rossendale Council for their own purposes. According to posting on another forum vehicles are now to split between the Rosso depot at Rochdale, Intack and Queensgate Burnley. Those moving to Intack are apparently B7RLEs 1706-14/23-6 and Geminis 2781-3/9. Those moving to Queensgate are apparently all of the Solos, B7RLEs 1727-35, Presidents 2727-33 and Geminis 2784-8/90. A return home for one of the B7RLEs as 1726 was originally Lancashire United 1816 - the remainder of the ex LU vehicles are those that have gone to Burnley along with one that was originally a demonstrator. Do you therefore know what route reallocations have resulted from the closure of Haslingden and other changes from April 8th?

Do you therefore know what route reallocations have resulted from the closure of Haslingden and other changes from April 8th? Not seen any comments - the timetables do not reflect any allocation to Intack with the first journeys on the 484 working into Accrington from Bury and the 481 into Blackburn from Rawtenstall. The first workings on the 463 and 483 from Burnley are Burnley based.

Intack seem to be running some of the 464 and also some or all the 484

Latest WYIS fleetlist lists Rosso Dennis Dart SLF 723 and all Scanias (1600-1616) as to be withdrawn so removing those non standard Transdev Blazefield types from the fleet. Also to be withdrawn are the 2003 built B7RLEs 1706-1713 Rossos ex Metroline / First Capital Connect Presidents 2727-2737 are noted as to move to Keighley.

Interesting, all though it’s no change in frequency or PVR, and both routes are still lower frequencies than before the changes.
Instead of 3 buses per hour every 20 mins, you’ve got one bus hourly and two every 30 mins

Hoping I didn't miss this earlier, but in a tweet today, James Firth MP for Bury North says Rotala and Transdev will be taking over most First services from august. Photo of Alex and others with MP.

There appeared to be a meeting between the MP and Rotala/Transdev last week, but I think any reference to taking over First services, simply acknowledges Rotala taking on the Bolton depot routes, and the former First services that Transdev now run - like the 467/8 and 469. www.burytimes.co.uk/news/17787147.key-bus-service-re-routed-campaign/suggests some changes to the TfGM 477/8 from October, when the new contracts begin.

Posting on another forum indicates Transdev have acquired a number of local services in Rochdale and Bury
EDIT - seems that people got carried away and listed a stack of services Transdev already operate however it does include three services currently operated by Manchester Community Transport 434 Rochdale-Castleton 451 Rochdale-Peppermint Bridge 462 Rochdale-Ladyhouse

I wonder where the Red4 buses will end up (these being the highly appointed ex Cityzap buses)
Although the Irwell Line will need 1 or 2 extra buses, so maybe they will just end up on there.

Lots of buses coming spare in the next few weeks.
1872-1878 which are said to be going off lease
1827/8/30/1 will also be spare, one has already been repainted white, so maybe being prepared to be sold?
3601-3606, the Red Express buses, what will there next move be? Would they be a tad over specced to just end up on schools, so might be best being sold off? The same applies to the rest of the batch on the Cityzap.
1868-1871, the Red4 exCityzap buses.

The big problem with 3601-06 is that they spent reputedly £80k per bus when they got fully refurbished a few years back for the 36. Mechanically I suspect they - and the CityZap examples, when they eventually get replaced by whatever is being ordered for the route this year - are still sound and with new seats perhaps would be solid vehicles for school work, especially as much of the ragtag schoolbus fleet really needs replacing.
I find it surprising that 1872-78 aren't being purchased and used to replace older vehicles - it's not as if there isn't a need for them elsewhere...

If they gave the Gemnis a further refurb bringing in most if not all of the current new vehicle features they could be used on the 60 "Aireline" to overcome current loading issues with the Versas.

Breaking news on all social media platforms is that Red Express has been saved. Changes to Irwell line will therefore also not happen.
