It looks like the 760 will be serving Bingley Bypass to Saltaire, although the tweet appears to be inaccurate as according to the timetable Crossflatts is served

What? Why? How to confuse passengers! Improve your timetable then a week later change it then announce cancellation but keep the improved timetable on journey planner and the website despite running to a limited service. Now this? Mental.

Something on here was posted about some councillor putting pressure on Squarepeg to keep the 22 running, It was due to come off at end of Feb due to it not being viable to run and due to little twatty vandals who frankly have bad parents! Kids will be kids, but parents bring them up!

They mention about the changes to stopping arrangements to the 760: keighleybus.co.uk/news.jsp?newsID=1669keighleybus.co.uk/news.jsp?newsID=1670

So far Metro haven't published any of the March changes on their website, I'd understand if only one minor change was to happen but these changes are significant, especially the Coastliner/City Zap.

Only four days until the changes and no mention about the change to the 760 route on the Metro website, the new timetable is there but no details of the rerouting. I wonder if this is to do with the changes being outside of the regular service changes. Still It's not exactly looking after the passengers interests unless of course they are also in the the dark.
Even the Transdev website doesn't explain this fully, and the tweet above muddies the waters, so I imagine there might be a few folk waiting for a non existent bus on Monday morning. If the tweet above is correct I would imagine a few Beckfoot schoolkids are going to get a shock on Monday morning too, I'd like to think that Transdev might have advised the school it is to be bypassed but I have a feeling their eyes are on other parts of the business at the moment.
So much good has been done over the last twelve months in Transdev land but this whole change has been badly publicised in the rush to put a positive spin on the change, a first and hopefully isolated occurrence.

could it be that Metro want people to see which services are operating over Easter. Changes could follow in the next day or three

The 760 changes happen before Easter, so I would have thought it more important to advise parents that their kids can no longer get to Beckfoot School on their normal 760 on Monday morning ahead of what's happening later in the week, unless of course the tweet above is incorrect.

Outside of Metro's changes windows though aren't they. I expect staffing levels at Metro are lower than previously due to public sector cuts, so won't be able to react to unplanned changes as quickly as usual, particularly at this time of year when people tend to be using holidays before the end of the financial year.
I believe if an operator changes outside a changes window they have to accept that they won't always get updated Metro information on time.
In any case, in many cases from the comments you see on Twitter, people don't look on websites, or see posters, read leaflets etc and are completely oblivious when anything ever changes.

I agree apart from the fact that Metro are here to serve the public and have managed to get the new timetable on the website so surely they could have managed a few lines about the route change on the same page.
I do think that Transdev should be providing more details on their website, particularly as you say the change is outside regular service change dates. When First changed my 612 into the 613/4 there was plenty of advance notice from both Metro and First on paper and internet. If I'm doing Transdev a dis-service and there is printed information on board then fair enough but four days out, passengers need to know about a rather large route change.
As an aside, I'm a bus enthusiast and even I can't say for certain what the route between Crossflatts & Cottingley will be. Someone should be on the passengers side making this clear, whether that is Metro or Transdev doesn't really matter to the general public as long as someone does it.

696/697 slightly longer running time. From Bradford Monday to Saturday mainly on the hour via Hill Top plus via main road daytime on the half hour.

Doesn't look like Metro are going to bother informing the public about any changes this month, the new timetables are on the website for everything except City Zap, this being the easiest timetable out of all of them to do. No reference on the website about these new timetables, no reference on shelter next stop displays as well, do they think people constantly check operator websites, Facebook and twitter feeds to see updates because someone needs to tell them 'get in the real world and do what your paid to do', think that's going to have to be me!

Do you think people constantly check Metro's website?
I'm guessing info is available onboard the relevant buses, new timetables are available in Bradford Interchange
The map in the leaflet confirms the 760 will run Dalton Lane, Bypass to Bradford & Bingley roundabout, then normal old road to Bingley, then back onto the bypass to its end at Cottingley, then normal route to Leeds.
It's a tad controversial in my opinion.

Details of the revised route between Crossflatts and Cottingley Bar are on this tweet:

Coming of the bypass at Crossflatts, through Bingley and back on the bypass for the short hop to the Bankfield.

That's just it, service users only check if told and if your not a regular user of a service, e.g Coastliner, or a company only tells users a few days before which you happen to miss as you've not used a service affected for a week, then you won't know unless a note on your next bus is displayed countywide accompanied with details of how to find out what's changed where.. Easy to do, so why haven't they done it? I have a feeling they're moving away from displaying service change information and will just leave it for individual operators to do their own thing.

This is poor. The 696/697/698 timetable is changed with most journeys unaffected but many run 15 mins later with a strange 40-min service mid-afternoon.

The 40 minute gap does seem strange in the afternoons. It would appear as though an additional bus is being added in to the cycle, however the 696/7 could easily be interworked with the 717 to maintain a clockface 30 minute frequency. Looks like the stand change in the Interchange has been last minute too as the Transdev timetable still shows it as departing from Stand P Going back to the lack of publicity around the 760 changes if an operator chooses to amend a service at a different date to the ones agreed with Metro the operator should be liable for all the costs of changing timetables at stops as well as taking full responsibility for promoting the changes. Public money shouldn't be wasted because an operator won't/can't wait until the next service change window
