There will be new Leeds - Chester & Leeds - Southport services but there's no definite routing for these. I'm guessing the Leeds - Chester service will run via Brighouse. There could be a new Bradford - Southport service. There is a plan to run a Nottingham - Bradford service will that will be an extra Leeds - Bradford service (there has been no notice of the planned Leeds - Bradford frequency )

No this is a revised service diverted via Westgate to speed up the journey (currently it is overtaken by a Cross Country service ) with an additional Leeds -- Sheffield via Barnsley semifast to maintain the half hourly timetable.

Arriva signs rolling stock contract for new Northern rail franchise www.arriva.co.uk/media/news/2016/21-01-2016Plans for the multi-million pound investment programme in the Northern rail franchise have moved a step closer today as Arriva signed the contract to deliver the network’s new rolling stock. Following a comprehensive procurement process, international train manufacturer CAF will build the 281 carriages with the first of the new trains, which will enable the outdated and unpopular Pacer trains to be replaced, delivered by October 2018. The deal will be financed by Eversholt Rail Group. Arriva will work closely with CAF and Eversholt Rail Group throughout the build process to ensure the trains meet the high specification and delivery timescales promised by the transport operator.

I believe these new carriages will be built in Spain. Yes spot on Spanish-built trains ordered for Northern in £490m www.railnews.co.uk/news/2016/01/22-spanishbuilt-trains-ordered-for-northern.htmlARRIVA has revealed that it has chosen Spanish train builder CAF to provide almost 300 new vehicles for the next Northern franchise. Arriva takes over Northern from the current partnership of Serco and Abellio at the start of April, and its franchise commitments include the replacement of the unpopular diesel Pacers which still run on a number of routes in the north. The units, based on a Leyland bus body, are now more than 30 years old, and at the moment some are also running in south Wales and the Bristol and Exeter areas of south west England. More electric trains will also be needed for newly-electrified routes in the north

More likely to be 333`s going to Manchester. It has been touted before. New 3 car EMU`s for West Yorkshire would enable 6 car formations in the peaks on the Airedale route.

The debranding is likely to be done overnight, it's more likely there's a shortage of 333s as they went through a rough patch a couple of weeks ago with a high number of failures. Quite a lot of the Northern fleet has now been debranded and noticed the station boards at Bramley have had their Northern logo covered up

On route 33 yesterday between Kirkstall & Horsforth I saw an incomplete station and roads towards it still being built. I presume this is the second new station in the area.

Indeed it does.
Very low key launch by the way, presumably they are waiting until some improvements come on track so they don't just get accused of sticking a new logo on the same old tat.
All the posters and signage is still in their blanked off state at the moment.
