The timetables are up at the stations, also online in the usual format (and eventually in a printed format at local stations). But what would be useful to prospective passengers would be a list of (briefly) how each timetable is changing.

There is a résumé of changes on the way metro site, doesn't cover everything, but at least there's something up.

From the news today Northern are heading for special measures! Being slated right, left and centre for appalling catalogue of failures has Chris Grayling only just noticed what an absolute shower they are!
It is little wonder they are so short of staff having failed miserably to recruit enough for new services I would have thought basic arithmetic would have told them we don’t have enough staff for more services oh wait this is Northern silly me!!

Working the trains, learning the new routes for their depot that have been introduced and new traction that have been introduced to their depot. This week across most depots has seen emergency rostering because the timetables were released so late the crew diagrams were written too late and had to be agreed by the union that they were legal because of that it has meant that the usual 4 weeks notice of change of booking on and off times, days off etc has been cut to 1 week which has been this week. So this week drivers and conductors at many depots have been claiming their start and finish times from the previous roster which didn’t tally up with the new diagram times. The west side have suffered more due to more routes and traction to learn which has lead to people not been able to get days off which in turn raises the sickness level

I'm not saying the staff aren't working hard.

There isn’t enough staff for all of this but it’s exceptional circumstances all this extra training. There has been no foresight by Northern to not start the training much earlier or not put the new routes at different depots. They want to run all these extra service but haven’t the short term man power and barely enough trains to deliver it and that’s why Northern for the past 6 weeks especially in the west have been in a bit of a state and has lead to DfT intervention

'From Monday 4 June we are introducing temporary timetables in some areas to enable us to return to a reliable level of service by the end of July. Check before you travel at northernrailway.co.uk or nationalrail.co.uk'

Check before you travel at northernrailway.co.uk or nationalrail.co.uk' All the temporary reduced timetables appear to be in the north-west: principally - Windermere to Oxenholme
- Blackpool South to Colne
- Morecambe to Lancaster
- Ormskirk to Preston
- Kirkby to Wigan
It doesn't look like there will be any formal reduction in service in Yorkshire ... just the usual random nonsense

No changes in Yorkshire as the major changes in this new timetable occurred in the north west.

Lake District bus replacement is just for two weeks What's bizarre is that the replacement bus timetable shows an hourly all stations bus and an hourly fast bus, calling at Oxenholme, Kendal and Windermere only - but they have exactly the same departure and arrival times!

They have also reduced the Todmorden Curve service by 4 trains each way which means it goes 2 hourly at certain times of day
As well as the Lakes being a bus service Morecambe, Blackpool South and the Colne branch get hit hard with up to half of the service on these lines being replaced by buses

June is not peak season. Hope they can get a full train service restored before the school summer holidays start on these lines

The places cut are probably less important than commuter services into Manchester.
