Around the world in folk-powered bus www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-hampshire-34870527The surviving members of a group of friends who took a double-decker bus around the world in the late 1960s are attending a screening of a film documenting their trip. The nine, from Liphook in Hampshire, travelled in a converted municipal bus, taking in Europe, central Asia, Australia and the USA over three years. The film shows life on board the bus as the group funded their trip performing folk songs en route. I wonder which (if any) from the current types of buses now going through the scrapyards would be reliable enough to undertake this.
