Is it just me or have the Local Traffic Commissioners been a little more active looking at the misdemeanours of some operators.
In the past few days a couple of the operators which are reported on have been in front of their Local Traffic Commissioners.
Clearly these are not the first but I wondered who would be next.
One particular on from slightly to the South springs to mind.

In the case of a certain operator blighting Cleckheaton and Dewsbury until recently, surely its more a case of 'what took you so long'?

Surprising what a delivery of red meat can do, pity it was so late in arriving but once there what a difference it can make, so who will be next..................

Surprising what a delivery of red meat can do, pity it was so late in arriving but once there what a difference it can make, so who will be next.................. To be fair to the TCs (not something most bus operators want to do) they are chronically understaffed for keeping an eye on bus operators as there simply aren't enough trained staff to check the operation of bus services. Lots of cases appear about maintenance as VOSA has lots of qualified roadside vehicle examiners but there are very few staff available to check on the operation of bus services that they have to rely on intelligence provided by the general public to know who to target. It doesn't need a lot of complaints to activate an investigation but it does need some (and it can be difficult for VOSA to sort the genuine from the misguided until they have done the checks). PTE areas like West Yorkshire should see more action as the PTEs have more monitoring resource and their checks are used to provide a wider snapshot meaning the VOSA inspectors need to do less checks for each case than they may otherwise need to.
