First time I've ever seen a Stagecoach Barnsley double decker on the'28' today. 16182 has just left Pontefract to go back to Barnsley. 16182? An Olympian?

Almost certain it was 16182, could possibly be mistaken by the 2nd digit tho. Last three digits were definitely '182' tho.

Obviously not !!! They need to go now , looking very tatty So tatty buses are past it, and smart ones are not? Another "enthusiast" that seems to think that a vehicles mechanical condition can be told by its body & paintwork condition. Never judge a bus by it paintwork

AY 1524, which carries no branding, was on the 268 today. Now anyone know why 268 MAX branded 1524, working the 268 to Bradford, would turn right from Rishworth Road and into Longcauseway in Dewsbury, thus omitting the bus station? It occurred shortly after the 126/7 MAX launch had finished.

I'm a little confused?, at the start, you mention that 1524, which you rightly say, has no branding, but, then you ask why MAX branded 1524, would turn right onto Long Causeway, while doing a journey to Bradford? One explanation maybe, that it may have run empty from Wakefield, and put itself back in at Long Causeway, due to the arriving late in Wakefield.

So tatty buses are past it, and smart ones are not? Another "enthusiast" that seems to think that a vehicles mechanical condition can be told by its body & paintwork condition. They look tatty on the inside and on the outside too, with odd panels here abs they totally different shades of blue, plus they are gas guzzlers , so that's another reason they should he gone ! Right, before I came into this business, my employment was in the Post Room of an Insurance Company, my job was to open the post, obviously, and, Yes, some of that post, would be from bus companies, and they always included, the costs of repairing the damage etc, and they also explained, that a bus company, would expect to get at least 15 years service out of a bus. So, the 1600's based at Hecky and Castleford, are 06 plates, they're only 9 years old, which means by my calculations, (counting on fingers, lol), that AY will expect to get at least another 6 years service, out of them. Yes, they may look tatty due to some not having been repainted since new or had seat cushions replaced, but, some of the newer vehicles, also look tatty and breakdown just as often as the older ones?

Last three digits were definitely 182. The bus had an 04 plate reg if that helps.

CT Plus were using a yellow and white solo X172 NWR on the Dewsbury Free Town Bus this morning, it was running without any form of destination, not even the old fail safe of a piece of A4 in the windscreen. By lunch time it had been replaced by the earlier missing MPD.

It was 1522 turning onto Longcauseway, not the one I wrote.
