Hi all, thought I'd start a thread to see how many people are planning to intend the running day on Sunday 26th July. Three routes will be operating, all centralised around the former home of the company of Morley. Three former BP buses will be operating and the timetables will hopefully be available from the end of this week if all goes well Feel free to ask any questions about the day, buses, routes, times, connections, anything

Is this the Event which is celebrating the 10th Anniversary since Black Prince was sold?
Will there be any provision for any visiting buses or is just the Black Prince Buses?

Is this the Event which is celebrating the 10th Anniversary since Black Prince was sold? Will there be any provision for any visiting buses or is just the Black Prince Buses? In answer to your query about visiting buses, due to the timetables already being finalised, there isn't the opportunity to factor in further vehicles. A vehicle gathering at 16:15 will be occurring in Morley Morrisons car park if that would appeal to you?

For those interested, two feeder routes will run in the morning and return in the afternoon after the event. These are:
Service 90 - Greengates to Leeds Vicar Lane. This service will be run by 577, leaving Greengates at 0806. This bus will then form the 0930 X49 to Morley. The evening 90 will leave Leeds Vicar Lane (K6) at 1706, to return to Greengates.
Service 205 - Pudsey to Morley. This service will be run by 73, leaving Pudsey at 0905. The evening 205 will leave Morley at 1645, to return to Pudsey.
If you are intending to travel on these services a quick private message would be welcome to ensure the vehicles don't leave without you.

All buses will be free to ride, including the feeder services.
The timetable and information booklet available is £3, containing lots of quality information about Black Prince and the current vehicles preserved.
Donations would be welcome to cover costs and further restoration.

Unfortunately not, 7674 is in normal service with First West Yorkshire and standard fares will apply throughout. I shall upload it's intended running board for people to plan photos etc. Attachment Deleted

Very good day, rode the blue/cream MAN 73? on the 421 Gildersome and back and 577 Merc Plasma on the 424 to Thorpe and back. The MAN reminded me of a B6 especially on hills! 577 performed well but showed it's age up Thorpe Hill, although to be fair it had a full load.

I thoroughly enjoyed the event and I thought the Merc more comfortable than any car of that make!
