BBC Travel Rail services between Leeds and York via Harrogate are currently being delayed by up to 20 minutes, according to National Rail Enquiries.
This is due to a broken down train at Harrogate. There's "no firm estimate yet" of how long disruption will last, but is expected to continue until at least 09:45.

I'm glad the strike's been called off as I've a couple of journeys to make on Monday and Tuesday, but I'm not sure what the relevance of Virgin Trains to a Yorkshire transport forum was.
Virgin Trains East Coast were planning on running a normal service early on the Monday, running down after 1400 and a late-starting, early finishing service on the Tuesday (with little or no service in Scotland).

Please be aware the following contains some upsetting description. Just to give a more detailed description of the above, the man was found to the left of Mecca roughly halfway between Mecca and the arches. People were saying he jumped onto the track and their was a loud explosion so going by this he may well have ran up the embankment then jumped from the fence rather than from a bridge over by Quarry Hill.

Do the powercables above those lines run all the way through to York. If so, do many electric train actually use that route?

Two additional interesting bits of info about Tuesdays incident have come to light, it turns out he tried to climb a gantry whilst running away from somebody (this was not bus station security as some people were saying, they were on sight when I got there but that may well have been to investigate after a report to them by the public) and had slipped, but more importantly, I left the bus station from Mecca side at 3.26, the incident had already happened by then and looking plus listening to people around, it appeared to have happened about 5 mins earlier. The first emergency vehicle didn't arrive until 3.40pm with the rest quickly following. According to the YEP, the emergency services were called to this incident on GEORGE STREET, this incident happened on YORK STREET which is on the other side of the market. God only knows if that slip up contributed to a longer call out time for such an urgent emergency.
