Tiger Leeds Gemini 883 has been repainted into an all over black livery with a orange front looks as though it might be receiving another advertising livery Do you mean 833 Yes I suppose that would make more sense

833 which has been all black (with orange front) for the past couple of months has finally had it's advert completed. It's for Radio Aire - doesn't look too bad actually IMHO, better than it's last ad, the blue Leeds List.com one.

I wonder if they are ever going to finish reprinting the last few buses still in Centrebus colours, or indeed completing the Tiger Blue refurbishments, or the Halifax presidents still in Arriva livery? Seems like they get 90% the way through these schemes quickly and then the last 10% takes years.

Or 90% complete but 100% of budget spent Or could some of the Tiger Blues one be due to the loss of contracts and they could be on their way out, suppose this only applies for Tiger Blue. Loosing the ALX400 under the bridge didn't help could be lack of spare resources might also be getting in the way especially with the additional work from Geldards

Sometimes Arriva do, all the original batch of Enviro400 at Heckmondwike have been upgraded to MAX specification, like wise for the Selby Geminis.. Even all the Volvo Darwens got retimed at Dewsbury when they were downgraded from the 110. I'm now struggling to think of any more

Even all the Volvo Darwens got retimed at Dewsbury when they were downgraded from the 110. I'm now struggling to think of any more IIRC some of the 1100 Volvos have had a mismatched refurbishment done on them. The Spectras didnt get completed all the same (708 & 713 still in old livery even though seats did eventually get retrimmed, 714 had black window surrounds too) The Darts (200's series) were completed to a different specification (light clusters, panelling etc). The DAF ALX300's were not all the same after refurbishment (again lights, panelling etc) . I think even going back a few years (and now being pedantic) some of the Olympians never received corporate livery even after a good few years of being Arrivarised and supposedly going to be repainted every 4 years ! As said, very rare a refurb program gets completed so lets keep it in the family ! Penfold

There was a Omnicity on the 29 in Leeds today in all-over orange with stripes - is this a new repaint or just one I haven't noticed before? I was too far away to work out which one it was.

Must have been fairly recently when the duty changed.

One of the Elland based Arriva livery ALX400s has received an overall rear advert for Dickies Tiles, which must presumably mean that it is expected to be allocated here long term, regardless of what may or may not be being released from Leeds in the coming months.

Wow, is this the start of them finally getting all the fleet in a consistent livery? I genuinely thought at one point we wouldn't see any more repaints and Tiger would end up being sold off, but things seem to be improving with the new boss.

Certainly hope so. At the moment it does appear that any vehicle(in Tiger Blue, Yorkshire Tiger or K Line livery) operating on any route. For such a small operation surely only one livery is needed

That refurbished solo is much older than the ones that were lost in the fire though, about 8 years older at least. Certainly hope so. At the moment it does appear that any vehicle(in Tiger Blue, Yorkshire Tiger or K Line livery) operating on any route. For such a small operation surely only one livery is needed They are in a state of flux, let it settle down and review it then at Christmas, not after 2 days. I wouldn't say it is a small operation, they have about 100 buses.

Good Morning All,
I thought I would give you the low down on this first hand.
We envisage there will be two brands, the Yorkshire Tiger brand, and Flying Tiger.
We are in the progress first of all repainting and refurbishing the K Line buses into orange, after which we will work on the tiger blue buses.
You may see some fleet movements at the moment, this is to standardise operations of certain types of buses at certain depots, admittedly this is going to lead to what will seem unusual allocations until these movements settle down.
Hope this information helps.

You see i said originally to be patient and give things chance to settle and to be planned which is proving right.

Well, there you go then. Me and some others on this forum always thought the logic behind establishing the "Tiger Blue" sub-brand of Yorkshire Tiger was somewhat pointless and potentially flawed. To establish "brand loyalty", customers/passengers need consistency and as of late Tiger have been an absolute shambles. I and others never got why K-Line wasn't brought under the Yorkshire Tiger brand from the start. The Tiger livery and branding is bright innovative and eye-catching and has proved popular on the Wakefield Rd/Dearne Valley route's. If the ex-K-Line fleet at Honley had been painted in the standard orange Tiger livery there would have been a level of consistency which may have engendered a bit of customer awareness, as to which bus company they were actually using. If Tiger are serious about providing a quality service they need a uniform fleet livery which passengers are used to. Hopefully things will improve under this new boss Stuart.

Yes I never quite understood the point of Tiger Blue. If they wanted to keep Honley as a separate brand they should have just kept K-Line, rather than creating a new but different brand that neither streamlines nor retains the brand.
But again the last few months can be written off and were hardly the plan when Tiger Blue was established, so I'm not sure why people keep talking as if mixing the brands on the dam route were the intention.
