And nothing above is to do with K&D which is what this forum part is for since the splitting up of it into N,E& W Yorks. This side-forum is designated as "Transdev Keighley & District" however There are threads about various over Transdev Companies. Maybe a Transdev Blazefield forum with Side-forums such as: - Keighley - Harrogate - Burnley & Pendle/Lancashire United - York/Coastliner Until then, all posts about Trandev divisions are being posted in the Transdev Keighley forum... There's a suggestion for the admins NOTE: Just realised, there's already a thread for Keighley Re-paints here: travelwestyorks.proboards.com/thread/3160/keighley-repaints?page=4

1825 now in an overall mid green livery different to the normal green with a white Transdev fleetname on the front. Looks to me as though its possibly getting an overall advert.

Just noticed that lone Keighley Gemini 403 has had 'Keighley Bus Company' branding applied, still think that they should have branded the 760 but anyway....
Wonder if 2708/ 2716 and refurbed urban's have received any branding yet?

Livery leaving 403 as a random keighley bus company bus for any route

Hopefully Keighley will get the displaced coastliner Gemini's, I can't see where else they could go.
Alex has told me that the 760 won't get branding, but if they just gave them a simply refurb (USB, WIFI, Next stop annoucements and airelink branding) they would win a lot of custom from First Bradford who are providing B7TL/ B9TL dirty buses on the 670.
Although I love transdev and like what Alex is doing, I think they have a tendency to ignore enthusiast/ customer comments and ideas. For example sending the 36 down Scott Hall Road without using the guided bus way, everybody said it was pointless but they refused to listen. Travelling on the 760 most days, I can tell exactly what would make it more user friendly and more profitable.

I have to admit I don't like Alex that much myself but if he wasn't such a typical southerner, he'd be an alright bloke. As you say, he doesn't listen and learn from Jo public! No offence Alex but it feels like you, like many Southerners, probably think many northern people who aren't in a professional job are thick and shouldn't be listened to cos they're talking bollocks! Alex, seriously listen to everyone and learn. Expresss buses to Scarborough at realistic fares will take custom from the train because even though your fares are good, your journey times are well poor and I, like many others, will opt back to the bus if the journey time to Scarborough can get back to around the 2 and a half hour mark end to end, 2 hours 15 mins if you get off at the train station. Why not trial out an X60 to complement the 760, running like the 760 but only stopping at main stops, i.e no stops on Dalton Road, and only Cross Flatts Station stop, Bingley 5 Rise Shops, Nab Wood Cemetery, Saltaire Hop and stops along Leeds Road to Shipley Market Place served then non stop from Shipley to Leeds every 30 mins, promote the fares in comparison to the train and get the journey time down to 45 mins (60 mins peak) end to end and it'll be a winner! Look at how long the train can take, up to 25 mins to Keighley with massive fares! 6 bleeding quid return to Keighley! Nearly a fiver to Saltaire! Yes the train is much quicker from Shipley to Leeds than any express bus can ever be but if the time difference can be significantly be reduced, and you highlight how much can be saved on fares, there are many Shipley train users who will switch, after all what will people prefer to spend money on, clearly not travel costs!

2716 has also gained Keighley Bus Company vinyls
On the majority of occasions I've used the 760 recently there have been passengers commenting on various aspects of the service, but mostly either its awful reliability (every bus I've caught has been at least 10 mins late across various days and times although AM peak journeys towards Leeds often run early) or it missing out Cottingley-Bingley and Crossflatts-Stockbridge. To overcome this it may be better to revert to old route but from Keighley not set down before Shipley towards Leeds and not pick up after Shipley towards Keighley. This would probably keep journey times about identical to now, but would remove the need for passengers to have to change buses - unless this is a ploy to increase their revenue from Metro.
The train is more expensive, but you pay for the convenience. Congestion in Leeds has been horrendous this week, with buses taking 30+ mins from the Bus Station to the end of Wellington Street. Personally I would rather pay the extra for the train and be in Keighley in 25 mins than spend my evenings taking in the views of Kirkstall whilst the traffic crawls along. 60 mins Leeds-Keighley at 5pm just isn't achievable with current traffic volumes

While you probably did set out to be offensive - I'm sure Alex would take most comments on the chin, but suspect he might draw the line as being described as a Southerner.

I can't see an X60 being worthwhile. The roads in that area are well known for being very poor, with nothing remotely wide or fast once the Bingkey bypass runs out. It might not be stopping but it'd still be crawling along in all the traffic.
The 760 market is probably travellers to intermediate stops, pensioners who don't mind it taking all day as its free and a small number of end to end travellers who won't pay the train fare. Places like Calverley and Rodley are probably the main markets into Leeds. Trying to build up more of an end to end market while competiting with what is possibly the best commuter train service in Yorkshire, may be a worthless task.

Nice but a bit too Yorkbus / Coastliner / Blackburn head on to be a distinct pool livery. The grey/black used on 2706 was more obvious a pool livery IMO.

I like the back, which lists the main places served in appropriate livery colours (assuming The Burnley Bus Company will be some sort of orange/red type scheme) www.flickr.com/photos/york-bus/33356588491/in/datetaken/Better than the White Transdev livery that looked too corporate and definitely better than the black tap zap go scheme.
