It was out in service for a while, yesterday, before it was changed over due to a couple of faults. A) Desti worked inside but not on the front B) The ticket machine would only work when the handbrake was on, a bit useless, when it then takes 5minutes to reboot itself. Lol Destination could be configuration issue.

It would look even smarter with 231/2 branding on it, wishful thinking on my part, honest............................

The lower salon shot show an emergency exit on nearside just prior to the start of the forward facing seats. Towards the rear of the lower salon I cannot see any signs of any raised floor until the final row of rear seats, would make that centre seat at the rear a little suspect should the bus have to stop suddenly.

The Suggestion is that it is a longish term demonstration loan rather than a purchase, so presumably the interior spec was decided by Optare. Has been said elsewhere on the internet that this is for Waterloo but I suspect that may be largely guesswork by enthusiasts though you wouldn't be surprised to see it start at Waterloo to bed down before moving it around to try it in different terrains at the other depots. The big question is, if what is current internet speculation is true, how long will it be staying and will it wander of occasionally to be trialled by other operators.

I did hear today from a reliable source that initially it was going to Waterloo, having seen it in the flesh with it exceptionally large seating capacity of 90 being 57 over 33, I would expect it to be moved about.
When did Waterloo last receive a brand new decker, only guessing at some MCW Metro buses back in 1986............................

Yes I went to NEC today & got told by a rep that it will be going to Waterloo for upto 4 months because Optare want to trial it somewhere that is hilly and close to their factory just incase anything goes wrong with it.

Might sound a bit of a random question but does anyone know the current status of Scania 740? I see 739 almost daily but can genuinely say 740 hasn't been seen by me since the early part of this year.

Yorkshire Tiger have acquired another trident this time a white ALX400 KN52 NDX. Seen on 711 today. Might be worth mentioning that this one is a transfer from Southern Counties. Formerly in use with the TGM operation at Colchester.

It's not only 740, 769 looked rather sad at the depot during the summer and 786 appears to be conspicuous by it's absence too. At Huddersfield 782 didn't look too healthy in the summer months either

Thanks for the responses timelesstable & mozzaleeds. I guess I hadn't picked up on the airport Scanias being missing due to them (in theory) being more often than not on 737/747 which I don't regularly see.

Does anyone know how the ex Geldards school services inter work and how many buses were required to be used on these routes.
Even though they gained 9 services AM and 8 services PM, I'm guessing the number of buses used is much less as many will do two trips?

I'm sure you are correct with the multi trips but I try to avoid school services like the plague.

Tiger Waterloo were using all white Centro YJ58 FFL on 231/2 this afternoon. I'm sure this one was reported with Tiger earlier in the previous couple of months, but I couldn't find anything.
Over at Elland Solo KX14 FHT is to be used while modifications are carried out to 405-410. For the record KX14 FHT is being supplied by Dawson Rentals and was first used in Malta......

Expected to go to Reading following some delays at Optare although it is now registered YJ65 EPU. Looks like we will have to wait before it arrives at Tiger

Have read elsewhere that the orange painted Metrodecker due for Yorkshire Tiger is now about to enter service at Reading. Something to do with An ex transport manager now being at Reading
