Don't think anyone's mentioned the X84 (Leeds-Skipton) which must be pretty close to 30 miles. Yes, i did make a passing reference to this service in my original post, just couldn't remember the route no.

How long in miles is the 36 route.ive sat on it from it full route Leeds - Ripon twice. It would come close to the x84 in miles I'm guessing. Remember the 410 Leeds - Doncaster. And the 402 ( think there was a 401) Leeds - Selby - York. How long would they add up in miles.

There was the 365 during the short lived time in the mid 90s when it ran Bradford to Manchester on Saturdays.

All these routes being listed don't qualify as urban bus routes as they run between different towns and cities, therefore they're interurban!

Would Transdevs number 20 in York count?
Normally runs from the University to Acomb via Osbaldwick, Heworth, Monks Cross, Huntington, New Earswick, Haxby, Wigginton, Clifton Moor, Rawcliffe & Poppleton; a trip of 22.8 miles (accroding to Google maps).
However, one journey a day each way does the whole route and extends from Acomb to Askham Bar giving a total distance of 25 miles.
