I would like to know how many step entrance double deckers are actually still working for First in West Yorkshire and their garage allocation. I am sure some of you keen enthusiasts will be able to find this out for all of us easily. I certainly see them becoming popular buses to seek out in the next few months. Unless there have been any very recent changes I have the following Volvo Olympians still active: Leeds (Bramley) 30239 S655NUG / 30790 R610JUB (2) Bradford 30791/6/814-817/834, 31677 R611/6/34/6 JUB, R636/7 HYG, S654 FWY, P613 WSU 31760-770 R921-6/30-1 WOE, R932-4 YOV (19) Halifax 30788/800/808-13/844-5 R608/20 JUB, R176 HYG, R629-33 JUB, T664/5 VWU 31774/775/808, 34107 R939/40/36 YOV, T907 KLF (14) Huddersfield 30818/821-3/840/1/3, 34046 R638/41-3 HYG, T660/1/3 VWU, P246 UCW (8) Most are Alexander Royale except 31760-70/774/5/808 which are Alexander RH, and 34046/107 which are Northern Counties Palatine 2 & 1 respectively.

30239 has the celebrity status of being the last Leeds step entrance bus according to posts on flickr. It was for a while but 30790 has returned from Huddersfield and was out on the 50/50A yesterday along with 30239 on X14.

37130 in service on the 590's & 37696 in service on the 503. I have been told we may be getting some for the 508 / 503... That will mean some the 37045 - 37054 will be operating on the 590's to join the 3269's that currently run it.

34107 seen in Huddersfield at 4:30pm, is it now allocated there? No, It is parked up in the Elmwood depot at this very moment. It does goes into Huddersfield after doing a C40 Brooksbank Sports College - Halifax Bus Station. I think its route K17 after, says on the Running Board.

Thanks that makes sense, it must be the K75 from New College to Huddersfield. Seems like a lot of dead running. It is one of the many buses that seem to fight for custom at that time of day for New College students, as well as the normal First services, there is this K75, also a minibus run by 'Huddersfield Coaches'?, the Streamline service, there was at one time an NC10 by HJC plus I think a duplicate 370 run by First.

Obviously First were desperate to get some vehicles into service extremely quickly. No time for destinations i'm afraid. Also, wont it be a case of the destination displays wont be programmed, rather than not working?

If they are going on the 301/302 Golcar circulars, they should have ordered the Max version instead.

I have just bought the May 2013 edition of Buses Magazine. In the First West Yorkshire it stated that 60064, a Wright Floline L94 had been withdrawn after catching fire in Leeds City Centre. Well in fact it is alive and well as I was on it on Service 91 this Tuesday, a Bramley working. So everything that you read in Buses Magazine is not fact.

It had only been off for some mechanical attention but hadn't been withdrawn.
