Due to the Bradford Football match, 662's from Keighley have been boosted with double deckers this afternoon. Noted were 2703/12 & 438 the latter doing 1855 from Keighley.

37063, 37680, 37682, 37723 & 37755 all on 72 lol This is the case almost every day. I've lost track of the number of times that I've seen an ftr parked up by the roadside en route, display turned off. I have heard that the problem is more to do with the computerised systems on board crashing, as opposed to engine failure, but I don't know how true that is!

I don't know what the official reason for the increasingly common practice of substituting Streetcars for DDs on the 72 but it makes for a very poor show. All the hoopla about the Hyperlink for it to start fizzling out already? First have a track record of starting new projects and then neglecting them but this seems to have happened very quickly. If they truly believe the Streetcar is a great selling point (which is no easy task given their flaws and the number of people who dislike them) they really need to get a proper grip on this service. Otherwise they might as well have saved the expense of the refurbs and just shipped them off for scrap straight away.

There's been a lot of comments regarding overcrowding on the 72 so maybe its connected although I've not noticed any conductors on the deckers so could be down to a shortage of hosts

There's been a lot of comments regarding overcrowding on the 72 so maybe its connected although I've not noticed any conductors on the deckers so could be down to a shortage of hosts If its because of overcrowding, that's what happens when you run a bus the length of a football pitch and put in just over half the seats on a double deck vehicle, some of which won't get used because of the bizarre and uncomfortable seating layout. If its because of a lack of "hosts" what is the plan when even more Streetcars are introduced on the route. Do First have any contingency planning for this flagship service?
