Hi, I have accepted a place at Leeds Trinity University College for September 2012. My questions are what services operate near the campus, I know about the 97 but are there any other services? Also what buses operate the 97 and other services? I also see the university operate a free shuttle but what bus do they use? Sorry about all the questions this will be all new territory for me. Thank You

50a you get off at old ball and walk.
97 is usually operated by young modern B7RLE urban. However you can find a B9TL & B7TL gemini on. You can also have other scrap that sits around the garage, such as 04 B7TL gemini, Volvo/Scania "low floor" buses from the 1790's, and if your lucky get a special treat on the VO that we have.

Thank You for a quick reply. Atleast the 97 will have better buses than I have to endure at the moment which are E200s. Just looked on google maps and it seems the 50A is Gemini operated.
Also service 6 seems to operate from near the railway station which also seems to be Gemini operated.
I can't find any photos of service 97.

6 is a good walk a very good walk, which in winter you'd want to avoid. Also takes the same time as the 97 however much more frequent. Not only this, the allocation on the 6 is normally B9TL branded for said route, however B7TL turn up too. Also you can get different B9TL leather seated X84 branded ones, and some older 2007 reg ones. Single deckers can turn up much more often then ever before due to the repaint programme.
50a is ran by bramley, and any dd that they have sitting around the garage can turn up. So you can get a NEW B9TL, to a ALX400.
With the freebus you can get on the train from leeds off at the station and free lift up. Sometimes this can be much much quicker then putting up with the 6/97/50a especially if its not younger then 2007. Congrats on your place too.

The 04 geminis and old scania singles are miles better than the 06 geminis also found on this route

Also miles more uncomfortable, and sound ready to break down at anypoint. Not only this, there are alot of rattling sounds when idle. I'd prefer to have a quiet journey on a 09/06 gemini then them.

Thank you all for your swift reply...and thank you for your congratulations.
I'm going to have a trip to Horsforth in August to see it for myself. I see that the free bus links the university to the Train Station and the town centre so I can get the service 6 and 50A
