I hope that Tate's retain the 11-reg Enviro 200 currently running the ex-Veolia route once TM Travel take it over. I wouldn't go anywhere near them!

Was traveling on a Stagecoach E200 this morning and i can say they are horrible buses indeed. I do hope the Tate's ones are of better quality. I personally like Solos, Nothing wrong with them that i can see.
Malli are the Enviro 200s Tate's have in or out of Eco mode ?

HJC's were a right pair of sheds. Dunno why when the Enviro 400's seem better all round.

On Saturday morning when my bus pulled into the Interchange we came across a Tate's E200 which was driving around in circles. Made me smile because i had lost hope in Tate's and the presentation on these Enviros really impressed me. I do hope they have had the same affect on the passengers.

Yeah, but weren't Darts built the same way (light chassis) and the E200's seem a lot worse.

Found the Third Enviro 200 this afternoon YX11HNV IIRC heading down Mortimer Rd on the 23A towards Penistone. Operating in full white from what i saw of it. YN11HNT was operating the 92A this morning.

I got on Tates Travel on the 956 the other day and the driver was very helpful, he went back on his last trip to see if they were any more passengers left anywhere. I got on at Huddersfield, went to Sculpture Park and Cannon Hall and went back and got off at Netherton, I was talking to him and he said I wont leave you stranded without a bus. Well Done Tates!
On another note Tates are becoming quite big now with all these new buses and loads of routes, wonder how long it will be until they are operating loads of West Yorkshire Tenders etc.

If Tate's ever reach Leeds or Huddersfield CentreBus will probably want to take them over.

think tates are looking a little further a pway from there home town and you should see more routes apear in west yorkshire in the future, they are already starting to apear with school services which is the way they normally start ,sisitt middle and holmfirth high from september shelley high they have been there for 4 years think you will see them in huddersfield, holmfirth areas soon,i also heard centrebus talked to tates last year and tates were not intrested in there offer, however with 4 million in new tenders just awarded the price must now be a lot higher now, thats if they were intrested in selling.

A lot of the things he says seems genuine to me. I heard the bit about Walshs from a Walsh driver and Tates I saw it posted somewhere online (Can't remember where)

Could have been speaking to management when they were at the depot... not hard is it. Especially when they declined it, nothing to be kept a secret.

Don't think the management of the company intending to buy out someone would openly tell prospective employees of there intentions whether or not the deal was turned down or not.

Centrebus apparantly talking to TJ Walsh sounds to me like the most obvious 'depot gossip' that it wouldn't take a brain surgeon to make up. They'd taken over HJC routes so I imagine someone said "I wouldn't be suprised if they bought us next" which would get translated to "Centrebus have tried to buy us" which was then spread to people who believe everything anyone in bus company uniform might say in passing.
Regarding Tates, a few minor routes and school services at the very edge of West Yorkshire is hardly the makings of them becoming a major player in this county!

It was before they got the routes off HJC because they tried to buy both companies but obviously only got the routes from HJC later & not the company.
