Anyone know if this is a self imposed absence or have they had a rather unhelpful visit by VOSA engineers?

will any other operator be running the 53 or X10? Don't think so as arriva have a bus from wakey to Leeds prob the x17 along with the 110 and first have buses to morley (51 and 55) so people along the routes will have alternatives. So no need for replacements

Metro have said on their website that Arriva and First provide similar services and all of the Yorkshire Line routes are covered by other services, so doesn't sound like there will be any replacement.
*53 is covered by the 51 and 55 route between Morley and Leeds, by the 153 between Morley and Asda and by the 4, 42, 49, 50 and 50A between Leeds and St James's *105 is covered by the 114 service *106 covered by the 114 between Alverthorpe and Wakefield and 125, 147 and 444 between Wakefield and Pinderfields Hospital *X10 is covered by the 110 route

Now that Metro are reporting that since 20th May, quote, "Yorkshire Line has ceased running its services" the departure board in Leeds Bus Station was still showing the X10 and had Yorkshire Line as the operator above the gate.
Should we run a poll on how long it will be before the Yorkshire Line services are removed by Metro?
I would be voting for a range of 14-21 days.......

Might be waiting to remove them from bus stops and stations but they've been removed from the website, so at least there is some progress

For those who haven't read the June Service Changes thread, Geldards have re-introduced the 53 service between Morley Asda and St James's Hospital via Morley centre and Leeds, starting from tomorrow (1st June). Timetable is pretty much the same with some weekday journeys running school holidays only and a extra morning journey from Morley to Leeds. www.wymetro.com/news/releases/110531Service53

Perhaps trying to raise as much capital as possible to put into the new company that was rumoured to be arising from the ashes of YL..!

I read that somewhere saying that geldards took over the service for them while they sort their problems out and would be back on our streets with a new look in September. Hmm only time will tell.

I don't think Geldards will want to give it up now... it is doing better that what Yorkshire Line were doing. Normally a full downstairs and a few upstairs on a lot of journeys into Leeds.

Perhaps they can call themselves Gordon Bennett travel as in "Gordon Bennett the bus has actually turned up"!
