454 was out on the 760 in new colours yesterday, this only leaves 455 out of this batch to do now.

455 has been stopped for repaint, as has 1810. Two loaned ex Mainline B10BLE's are to transfer from Harrogate to help step up the repaint programme concentrating on the Shuttles first i hear. 1063 has been noted so far. Lets hope they have the common sense to remove the Mainline branding before they do services out of Keighley Bus Station!

Doesnt look like Transdev and common sense go together. B10 1063 was today on 717s with full Mainline branding

1063 would look pretty tatty if they ripped the branding off it without repainting it, and if they touch paint it then it would take up presently much needed paintshop space.

It doesnt look good though adding yet another livery to Keighley, especially when it is one people may associate with the 20-25 services, which the branding is advertising.

Particularly as the 20-25 services serve Keighley anyway! It would make sense to repaint 1063 Green/Blue before it came to Keighley rather than stopping other buses in older K&D livery for repaint. Then on arrival it would be the right colours and at the end of the repaint programme, keep it and withdraw one of the remaining B10B's - even if it was one of the existing 5 ex Burnley ones with a wheelchair ramp if that's what they wanted as a group spare. Noted today in the garage was 1065 in plain unbranded Burnley colours!

Is 1063 a permanent addition to the Keighley fleet then? Seems strange to have buses in storage that have wheelchair ramps whilst older B10s without wheelchair access are in service.

1063/5 only temporary I'm led to believe. I think it was the plan to have Wheelchair access B10's in store so they were spare ie for use in Harrogate/Keighley. It also reduced (at the time) the need for vehicle repaints. Now they could repaint all the stored ones in Green for Keighley and withdraw a non wheelchair B10 like for like except Keighley like their own buses that they have maintained to their own standard and not sure they like chopping and changing all the time. Also how many vehicles have Keighley got on loan now? Spot on 205, Burnley 1063/5. Also with the arrival of with the arrival of 450 - 452, two B10's and an Olympian were due to be withdrawn. 349 went so there is a surplus of 2 B10's running about plus the 3 loaned ones meaning there should be no excuse now for Double Decks turning up on Leeds (except booked diagrams). B6 679 was withdrawn last weekend with the planned reopening of Bingley Ireland bridge. However the reopening was put back a week whilst some work was done to the road at St Ives, but by then duties and vehicle running boards had seen the extra vehicle on 720/7 services removed, and the services have been running to emergency diversions instead to satisfy VOSA.

Does that just leave 372 and 389 for the remaining old Olympians? Has 563 not been withdrawn yet?

Three Old ECW Olympians remain, Green 372, Blue 389 & Yellow 385 is also still in use, it now does B56 all the time starting and finishing at Taylor's yard in the morning, spending 9 till 3 in the normal depot between schools. 563 is still in use too, having been earmarked for withdrawal on arrival of 452. But as step entrance Deckers were still appearing on Leeds the GM decided to retain it for the time being. When 450 came another B10 should have been withdrawn (564?), but was kept as a paint float vehicle. Spot On 205 was the second paint float vehicle for the one being painted at Blackburn. 1063/5 are to cover for third and fourth vehicles for repaints so to rush through the introduction of the new Shuttle brand.

Keighley & District now have B10 1061, which still has Harrogate fleet names applied.

305 has re-entered service at Harrogate after a refit and repaint after they lost the Airport service. Consequently they had one vehicle too many so 1061 is presumably now spare and being used as and where needed.

The stairwell patch looks embarrassingly poor.

Saw a B7 Gemini on the 36 today in a light blue livery, similar to that of the new coastliner livery, with 36 lettering and branding. Didn't catch fleet number. Is the 36 route getting a makeover? Sorry if this is old news, its the first I've seen of any new liveried Geminis for the 36.

Probably a Coastliner one on loan to Harrogate then.

It has the 36 branding above the door & I think it has some sort of aquatics down the side below the windows

It's 401, has lots of little 'morph' type men with spanners, cogs and paint pots and the wording 'we're currently making some big improvements to your 36' and on the front it says 'Yes! it is a 36'
Scott Poole 'Leeds 6228' has a great photo of it on his Flickr photostream.

I could have done that but I hope you checked with Scott before you republished his picture on here. I know it's already in the public domain but it bugs me when people link my photo's on here without asking me first! Would you believe I've sometimes posted on Flickr and before I've finished adding my descriptions someone has added a link to it here, and just to be fair it wasn't you but it is annoying.

Personally i think its better if the author posts the photo or if its not the authors photo then should just post a link rather than embed a photo that isnt there's. ----- She was kicked out yesterday for first day out according to a couple of the drivers atleast: Seen departing Leeds on the 1545 off Leeds and also done the 1215. B7 BVD was also out, anyone know of the improvements coming?
