Every time I've been to York recently the Terrible Tales Trident has been notably absent. Has anyone seen it in use during the peak season? Last time I saw it in use was on 2nd August. Reported on the Blazefield Yahoo Group that it is at Malton having it's engine repaired.

Keighley Update B10BLE 1083 (PO51MTV) has been received from Lancashire, it has been painted but yet to enter service. Dart 701 (W701BFV) also from Lancashire is being painted, an extra spare for now (and yes we did have that one years ago with sister 702). Yellow Volvo Olympian's 964/983/4/6/7 previously reported as transferred to York, have been replaced by ex Blackburn Olympians 48/52/55/56 (B748/746/755/6GSC) and 2711 that had been in service for a while. Apparently the Olympians are temporary, and could be getting some more Presidents towards the end of the year. 52 www.flickr.com/photos/thrashmerchant/6140072694/in/photostream/55 www.flickr.com/photos/thrashmerchant/6139537205/in/photostream/I had already posted pictures of 56 on page 7 of this thread.

Guess Dart 701 is to prevent B10s from being used on 703 or 706 services to free up a B10?

The Dart's were going to be replaced due to plummeting reliability hence the loan of the Streetlite and Enviro 200. 701 can free up Darts for vital maintenance and avoid replacing them.

Can Anyone comfirm that a Volvo B7TL - Wright Eclipse Gemini has been released back to Fulford either from Harrogate or Malton as the other day I saw one on the 844 route in Leeds?
It's 406 that's moved to Fulford from Malton.

Anyone seen B6s 601 or 609 recently - last reported to be at Fulford in store. Harrogates 612 had a nasty dent / sratching mid way on its offside that the next day had been fixed so presumably they changed them for panels off one of the withdrawn ones.

Something funny's going on in York – for the first time since the new timetable started, today I saw a Solo (1266) on the 26, and a Versa (272) on the 844.

I haven't seen 609 there for a few days now, although it could be hiding out of sight.

Theres a comment on the Yahoo Blazefield Group of a 36 Gemini being seen heading for Skipton not in service so presumably it was going for refurb and equally presumably another refurbed one has arrived at Starbeck

B6BLE's on the way out then? Possibly. Maybe across the pennines or to York.

B6BLE's on the way out then? Possibly. Maybe across the pennines or to York. What would they be coming to York for? The York fleet is made up of 57-reg Versas, 07-reg B7RLEs, and Y/02-reg B10BLEs. I can't see any rationale for sending B6BLEs east unless they're taking on more contracts, which is unlikely.

Dart 701 (W701BFV) also from Lancashire is being painted, an extra spare for now Was out in service today on the 703, looked odd given that its the only bus in the front line fleet with a non-LED blind

Not sure why Coastliner Versa's are running round on York services still with coastliner names. You would of thought they would of been removed ?

There's one of them that has the Coastliner logo removed from its nose and the York logo added. Ironically, this is the one that I've seen on the 844 a couple of times! I'm sure the Versas will be reliveried with the York logo and colour scheme (assuming they are permanent there and not pending another swap), but maybe the paint shop is busy at the moment and they are having to wait their turn.

It is confusing alot of passengers, many getting on the bus thinking it's the coastliner. Fair enough the repaint can wait but removing coastliner titles is a fairly easy job.

Has been back in use for a while and it looks like it is staying put as well. Wouldn't surprise me if more of the Solo's were reinstated on a few routes.

They'd have to remove all the branding as well if they were to remove the coastliner names. Maybe it should be treated as an advert for the Coastliner service.
