The new 36 looks very strange with the Gemini 2 front and a 53 reg plate, I think they need a personalised plate putting on them to hide the age. Very impressive paint job.

Traditional red and cream liveried B10BLE 1057 remains at Harrogate as a back-up for the schools fleet and is not for normal service use. and true to form today found in its normal service (24 to Pateley)

Not only that they've changed back end as well with b9-style lights and full desty on top deck similar to new 11-reg coastliner gemini 2s as you can see here: www.flickr.com/photos/jongraham890/5660353499/in/photostream/

Just been reading the Yahoo Blazefield forum and they are reporting a number of upcoming changes as follows.
1082 repainted in to Transdev in Keighley colours for transfer and Presidents 438, 441 & 2715 due to transfer to Keighley.
They also report that Coastliber Gemini 408 has arrived at Manor Sutton Street with a further Gemini, probably 401 to follow but possibly not for a while until released by Harrogate. Also that 406 is due to go to Burnley after loan to Transdev York for the May race meeting.

That will probably mean the end for B10s 574-577 at Keighley then, as well as the 760 being almost 100% double deck

One question - why do Keighley get more presidents and not some Gemini's?

Keighley's work isn't high profile enough. Upgrading The Lancashire Way would be more of a priority.

On evenings and Sundays, according to the running boards B7RLEs are the booked vehicles, although this does not stop the odd B10 creeping on. Saying that though some Sunday services do get busy to the point where passengers are standing, so would benefit from double deckers being used

The vehicles being transferred from Blackburn are those which are in incorrect liveries for that depot and presumably will get repainted for Keighley. 438 is in Yorkshire Coastliner colours 441 is unbranded Lancs Way colours 2715 is Lancs Utd blue/white

Maintenance would then be carried out during the day without any need for substitution. Single Decker's would still be needed on the 760, as there are 8 diagrams and the likelihood of all 7 presidents being available on the same day being as likely as a lottery win!

Meanwhile over here in York, a second ex-Harrogate B6BLE has arrived here. I'm guessing that it may be 609, but will try and confirm in the next few days.

When will all refurbishment be done? Guessing the coastliners will go under same treatment? And how many full refurbed B7 have they got?

- I would see the programme continuing into 2012 - Why? This is major rebuilding specifically for the 36, not a routine scheme - None, 3601 is done but isn't in use.

WYB, my point was the ones that are in harrogate been used on the 36. Guessing there staying, so therefore would be nice to have them under the refurb programme.
Will the 05 reg B7TL go under the same treatment? Also have they updated/changed the cabs?

Will the 05 reg B7TL go under the same treatment? Also have they updated/changed the cabs? Coastliners 401-404 are only on loan at Harrogate to cover for the 4 buses which will be away for refurb at any one time. Once 2765, 3601-3613 are all completed then 401-4 will be released for onward transfer. The current H & D timetable booklet for the 36 has a page dedicated to the refurb programme to give the average passenger some background on what's happening. Intrestingly it states all the refurbished buses will enter service between April-September 2011 but I tend to agree with WYB that it will probably go into 2012. 2765/3601/05/06 have been off since the back end of last year and at the moment only 3601 is complete.

Are they not just in store at York, due to Intack having extensive works taking place at the moment.

Ahh, maybe they're only here for storage then as I didn't know about the refurbishment at Intack. Both are still in Harrogate colours.
I presume that the 3 ex-Keighley B10BLEs that have been arrived here recently also are for storage seeing as have just been parked up in the depot since they got here.
Arrivals today at York are Volvo B7TLs 405 (YK55 ATN) & 406 (YK55 ATO) probably on loan to be used on the Racecourse shuttles over the next few days.

They are knocking down redundant buildings at Intack, so they can ultimately accomodate the fleet from the other original LU depot which will then close.
