Besides operators in West Yorkshire, what other operators outside of the county do you take an interest in?
This could be regular visits to their area a few times a year, keeping up with fleet and service changes and/or maintaining a fleetlist
(For the benefit of this, Transdev Harrogate, Arriva Selby & operators in York/Coastliner etc don't count)

I live on the outskirts of Manchester so see many developments locally. I am also interested in London operators and National Express West Midlands, having lived in both London and Birmingham. I still go to London an average of 3 times a year and Birmingham about every 2 years. Indeed, I am stopping off in Birmingham over the weekend on the way to central London for the August Bank Holiday!

I like the fleet of Brightbus in North Anston but I have never had a chance to photo them, I have seen them going down the motorway... I love the fact they are big 110+ seat Olympians and Dennis Condors etc. from Hong Kong. I also like EYMS and NXWM.

Im a lifelong fan of West Coast Motors, based in Campbeltown, Argyll in Scotland. In fact my uncle used to drive for them. Every summer during the school holidays my old man (A proud Campbeltonian), used to drag us all up there and it was always a highlight for me as a young boy to ride up front with my uncle Archie, which i did on many occasions whilst up there. Thats what got me interested in buses in the first place. I have many fond memories of Bedford YRTs and Ford R114s as a boy of 5 or 6 years of age. Although i only get up there perhaps once every two years now, to visit relatives etc, I still take an active interest in the WCM fleet, which is now 130+ strong, spread out across various operating centres including Oban, Adrishaig, Glasgow and Bute. WCMs livery is simple but dead effective, red and cream with blue embellishments and gold lettering and most,(If not all) vehicles turn out in service in immaculate condition.

I have always found Blackpool Transport interesting especially in the 90's with them NC Palatine reboided Atlanteans and i am a fan of their refurbished EL Olympians too.
Another operator that keeps me interested is EYMS and if you put a fleetlist on the website it would be great.

Why what's wrong with their own fleetlist on the EYMS website which is updated at least twice a month & sometimes just once a month?

Events in Nottingham, having daily for many years pre-deregulation used South Notts or Barton or very occassionally the odd NCT vehicle. Have to say I take a complete dislike to the present multi-colour schemes used by NCT and TrentBarton and wish they would revert to a modern take on green & cream/white, red cream and maroon; and please please bring back the proper South Notts colours with no sign of any green anywhere.

I'm interested in many operators across England; the ones that stick out for me having lived along their routes and used them on a regular basis are South West Coaches, Nippy Bus, Metroline, Arriva The Shires & Essex, First Hampshire & Dorset, First Somerset & Avon, Centrebus Hertfordshire, all TfL operators, Damory, Stagecoach Somerset and Regal Busways.

As Blackpool is a place i visit very regularly, both through my work and for leisure purposes, I too take an interest in Blackpool Transport, and have done so for many years. One of our fellow forum members, Grand Central, has set up an excellent site for like-minded BT fans. This can be found via the links page on this forum. Well worth joining, im glad i did.

For me it is
- Transdev B&P and LU, Tyrer Bus, Stagecoach in Lancashire, Preston Bus (although it's all gone quiet there since the competition ended), Blackpool Transport (although it's not as interesting since they axed Metro Coastlines and started painting everything in that awful livery)
- Arriva Buses Wales, Arriva, Stagecoach and First in Manchester including Chester
- Wellglade group, Nottingham City Transport and to some degree Arriva Derby & other operators of Nottingham link network services.
- Go North East, Centrebus in Grantham & Leicester, Bowers
- A general overview of TFL operators

Rapsons Travel who operated in the Highlands, serving Fort William, Inverness and Skye and Orkney always had an interesting fleet. A lot of their service buses were quite old, however they did invest in new tackle as well. I seem to recall they purchased 3 new Scania/EL Olympus deckers for the Inverness airport service in 2007. Sadly they were another company gobbled up by the mighty Stagecoach in i think 2008/9.

I visited the brightbus yard on Saturday & the big Dennis condors and Olympians r a sight worth seeing. Theirs a mixture aswell with the former Arriva alc400s aswell & in their scrap corner theirs a few ex first Olympians which I think we bought solely for parts defo worth payin a visit

I was born and raised in Oxfordshire so I have an interest in many of the operators from there like Oxford Bus Company, Stagecoach Oxford and many of the smaller independents. I also have a big interest in Reading Buses as its where my interest in buses first surfaced before moving to Harrogate, where it properly took off. I also show an interest in First Hants & Dorset in the Weymouth area and Metroline buses in London. Cheers Andy
