The contracts apparently require Ripon - York. 40 seats Harrogate - Roecliffe/Ripon. 40/25 seats Ripon Town services. 31 seats Wetherby - York. 31 seats

Would of loved a red skirt on it tho Why would they even put a red skirt? They don't have to listen to your livery requests, it doesn't match their current colour scheme...

They have a red skirt on the Plaxton Dart which looks really well.

They have a red skirt on the Plaxton Dart which looks really well. Whats it matter that was a Dart which is not longer in the fleet. Simply brand means people can point a bus out a mile off. Look at the Cheetah's they are in the same livery too.... But then we could always start on this: Its operators choice to what and how they apply there livery it may not suite everyone's liking but it won't stop me picturing there fine fleet.

A simple livery style, with simple logo sticks in peoples mind and becomes recognisable!

You can't possibly have digested the answers to the other 100 questions already asked this month?

Maybe im just best off joining PSV Circle that will shut me up.
It is at least remaining on topic of Eddie Brown and someone on this forum may know the answer that is all.
Asking questions is my personality, each and every person is different and unique.
Looks like Eddie Brown seem to be going for the best possible rather than running old Dart's.

Holland, it's in your nature to ask questions but since you've joined in January you've had 574 posts which is a hell of a lot of questions! I know not every post is a question but you've got to admit about 500 to 530 are.

How did Eddie Brown manage to get hold of them ? I thought Stagecoach don't sell on to other operators unless they are older buses. Were they leased buses ?

More than likely leased, is there any need for 100 questions about 2 Buses, allot details on them can be found at PSV Circle and via Yahoo Groups?

They were leased (and the longest variant), they were taken over with the Cooks business and operated on the Exeter Park & Ride. Stagecoach (like Arriva) are much more pragmatic and have no obvious rules about sales, they will sell what they want when they no longer want it, it is First that have weird rules about what they can sell to whom. Stagecoach have had some history with selling vehicles early, there were some Volvo Olympians that ended up at First & East Yorkshire though there was some finance involved in that, but the low-floor B6LE's were sold early (and a number of years before the earliest Dart SLFs were withdrawn) and recently a number of non-standard vehicles have left early (BMC Falcons from Wales being the newest).

That's just answered my question about where these Scania single deckers have come from. It would be Reading Bus, I recognise the livery. I photographed one in York on Saturday, on the 142 to Ripon, while waiting for the bus to the racecourse for the Model Rail show. www.flickr.com/photos/davidsnwtransport/5649581407/in/photostreamThey will be the ones that have been displaced at Reading by the new Enviro400s that operate the Reading - Newbury service. It has allowed for a cascade of vehicles through out the Reading fleet and has lead to the sale of some Wright Solars and Omnidekkas. The coach pictured earlier in the thread looks good. Its a Panther though, not an Elite. David.c
