They are, but with them having a bendy bit in the middle it makes them brake down a lot more because of the abuse they get & the strain on the engine.

I would have thought the engine would be only designed to carry 16 tonnes as would be a standard B10BLE unit. How much is a fully loaded bendy - 24 tonnes? I seem to remember lots of the Leeds drivers complaining they were underpowered and overheated alot.

Yes that's the problem, the same engine as a B10BLE & too high capacity, the capacity is about 100 standing & 50 seated & that is putting too much strain on the engine.

By any chance was that 10022, because that was the only one with the rebuilt rear LED lights.

By any chance was that 10022, because that was the only one with the rebuilt rear LED lights. No 10022 has always had those rear lights i think as an experiment.Bus involved was 10032 as it was sent to wrightbus to have a new rear end rebuilt & ever since it came back has just been more worse! with some gearbox that makes it overrev like mad which results in engine overheating & then huge plumes of smoke come out the back! i for 1 am glad to see this certain bendy withdrawn because of its risk to public of maybe blowing up

If that's the case, why didn't they send it back to Northern Ireland and tell the dam fools over there to fix the fault they created! It's dam obvious that if it came back worse than it was before, they've not been concentrating and have cocked up! Also, bearing in mind these buses were underpowered, which fool allowed them to be operated? It's obvouus an underpowered bus will have numerous mechanical faults later in life.

It will be interesting to see what happens to them. I wonder how much they're worth now considering Ensign have ex Dublin Wright Fusions for sale at £21,000 per bus which were new in 2000. So surely the T reg B10BLAs will be worth less now as an asset.

We've got 32450 in the HP paintshop at the moment, currently in the process of losing its Save the Children allover ad.

The B10BLA's would make good airport airside buses. Maybe send them to LBA ?

Cos LBIA is big enough for 15 or so high capacity vehicles. Hence why it has about 4 average buses.

First Hudds Royale 30820 has now been repainted into standard First livery. As has 30823, which means the Holmfirth Connection branding will soon be consigned to memory.
