No they don't need a Side & back Destination for DDA, They have probably been programmed wrong, it is a common occurance. I accept what you say, but I thought that if the bus was fitted with side and rear destination equipment, then it had to be in use, as with the front.

Come to Huddersfield, the ALX400s with first hardly ever have working rear destination desplaces and K-Line often have one number at the rear (e.g. 319) while the bus is on another service (e.g. 366).

This is nothing new, and usually the destination screen is frozen and disconnected. Arriva Volvo B10 409 had X33 on the sceen by the door even when it had been withdrawn some 8 years when it ceased to be a regular on the old White Rose service

This lasted I think until First gave them the new equipment EDIT - Today Volvo Olympian 31813 on the 508 and Spectra 706 on the 110

I didn't know this misuse/non-use was so widespread, but I have to ask again:
Is this against the DDA compliance?
Does anyone know rhe answer?
