As some of us started talking about music in the Buses thread I thought it would be a good idea to start a thread on what sort of Music you all like?
Me: Charts, R&B, Dance etc. (Brand new stuff)

I'm tired of hearing Rihanna's Rudeboy being pumped out from some chav's phone
As for music I like, most modern stuff especially indie/rock

What do you think to radio stations being on in buses? like I said in the other thread I quite enjoyed it when I got on a Huddersfield Bus Company solo the other day and they had the radio on.

Personally, I'd be against radios on the bus as it would cause too many differences in people's opinion. It's bad enough trying to open a window on a hot day without some old muppet closing it straight away.

Its nowt new, back in the WYPTE days when Roe bodied Daimler Fleetlines ruled the roost in Hudds most had small speakers fitted in the upper deck playing music at such a volume, you need a hearing aid to catch it.

Was the music from a cassette complete with adverts. If so it sound like the old "Sounds in Motion" which I remember from further south

BBC Radio Leeds, Sheffield and York broadcast a 60s show hosted by Diana Luke on a Saturday night. The music is more familiar than Sounds of the Sixties on Radio 2 but often more eclectic than Gold or Magic. I am listening at the moment in fact!
