What is your opinion on Your Next Bus service provided by Metro. Please tell us your views and how you would like to change it.
Also what is your opinion on the Shelter screens showing "Real Time" and scheduled departures from that stop. Is it just a toy that the PTE will get bored of in a years time.

I have used it in the past, but whenever I text it from my mobile, I never get a reply so I don't bother using it now.

The electronic signs at bus stop are indeed proving popular, I don't hear the usual moan if the bus doesn't turn up. I actually liked this. Compare to manchester, they don't even have the electronic departure displays at their bus stations and we're already onto the shelters.. Leedstom > The text messaging service does have problems at times. Mainly blamed on networking issues. The wap browser, however is an excellent alternative you might want to try. I always use it on my N95, and it seems to work well and updates every minute or so.

Well personally myself I have found it unreliable, it may reply saying that there is no departures within the next hour, but there is one coming every 20 minutes. They still charge you as well!

i tried it when i didn't have any credit but had free texts, you need credit to recieve the info and i presume thats why it doesn't work, i like the scheme, and use it quite frequently,

Can't say I've ever used the scheme, but its proven to be quite popular. Aparantley, around 3,500 texts are made each weekday to the service! And, this autumn, the two million texts-sent mark will be reached. Clearly a lot of people find it useful.
I think that only First, Arriva, Stagecoach and Transdev Blazefield are tracked by the system, are there any other companies known to use it?
