Metro have stepped in with funding to keep the travel centres open at Castleford and Pontefract bus stations on a 3 month trial after Arriva planned to close them last weekend. The centres will be open to pick up timetables and maps but will not sell tickets, which can be bought in the post offices in the towns or Wakefield bus station. www.pontefractandcastlefordexpress.co.uk/news/Travel-centres-win-reprieve.5946669.jp

And what about when Castleford gets it's new Bus Station what it is getting?

I wonder why West Yorkshire has this situation where only the 4 travel centres in the former WYPTE/Yorkshire Rider area are full Metro Travel Centres, all the others are run by the bus companies themselves (Arriva or Keighley & District)
In Manchester and South Yorkshire all the travel centres are full PTE shops

And what about when Castleford gets it's new Bus Station what it is getting? If you carefully there is still an old "West Riding" sign outside the Castleford one, so much for "Corporate Image", must be a shortage of Arriva signs and stickers over there!!
