Boothtown Road is still closed following the burst water pipe from last week, which means there is diversions in place for service 576. Buses from Halifax are running via Claremount Road, Bradford Old Road and Swalesmoor Road onto Queensbury Road then as normal route. Buses from Bradford run reverse of route apart from at peak times, where buses may have to run via Godley Lane due to only one bus can pass along the diversion route. www.wymetro.com/TravelNews/busalerts/091119-listinglane.htm

There is some buses that are going back to Halifax via Swalesmoor Rd & Ploughcroft but waiting at the Ski-Slope for the other bus to pass so they don't get stuck on the small road + I've been on a bus that has gone from Halifax to Shelf Roundabout then upto Queensbury then down towards Halifax again then turning around in the road where the road is closed so that all of the route is covered by a bus. I live in Boothtown near Claremount Road so it is alright for me because I see everything that is going on. lol
The 34 service is not affected, it is just been affected by First picking passengers up from Claremount road when it shouldn't!

Note that nothing about this is mentioned on First Halifax's website or on the new Twitter page, which is typical.

It is now meant to be going on till Wednesday now as an underground pipe exploded!
I went on the 576 yet again today but I got off at Great Horton Tesco's and when I returned back to the Bus Stop I waited about 30 mins and the Royale I had just got off turned up, plus it was still running the daytime 12 min frequency!

Metro website now says that the 576 is being diverted via Shelf and then along the 526 route towards Hungerhill.

Yes that's correct, it was doing it yesterday but no-one knew exactly which way each bus was going so they decided to make them go all the same way. I was waiting for the 576 in Bradford today and there was major delays, i was waiting there for 25 mins until a bus finally decided to turn up and it didn't even go to Boothtown where I wanted to get off so it took even longer for me to get back to Halifax and change there.

The road opened up early this morning ready for the early morning commuters and the first bus.
