I would assume they are moving the RH's so they can have room for the B9TL and Wright Eclipse Urban's moving over from Cherry Row.

I'm sure 34234, 34238 to Huddersfield has already happened as they've been in Service on the MEC and the 398 last week unless that's me getting confused with the Fleetnumbers.

Why don't they just sell the Royales off to independants.

Why don't they just sell the Royales off to independants. 1) They're leased 2) They could be required again 3) First don't sell their vehicles on.

That always puzzles me. I know first don't want their old buses being used in competition against them, but think of the money they could make selling them on as opposed to scrapping perfectly good buses with life left in them?

First still see the potential profit loss from competition outweighing any scrap value. The other major operators must be rubbing their hands since it will help maintain the secondhand bus prices for them without First flooding the market with all theirs.

I know some of Manchester's Citybuses got exported to Malta for use as open toppers and some ex Leeds Plaxton Pointer Dennis Dart's got sent off to Tanzania with more to go soon that are stored at Halifax (I heard they can't move anywhere though)

Bit off theme but there used to be a very good overseas market for certain engines, Gardners spring to mind. They were in demand in the Far East.
I'm pretty sure that where/how Paul Sykes made his money.
Anyone know if the Barnsley Brothers export any of the scrap bits currently?

I thought he made his money through playing rugby Try this one: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Paul_SykesThe founder member of the Barnsley Brothers, he used an old warehouse on the A61 at Birdwell just off the M1 J36. You could always see what he had been buying riding upstairs on an old Tracky Atlantean. My preference was one of those Willowbrook High Bridge ones initially destined for Plymouth

31146 & 31147 have gone to Bradford from Hunslet along with at least 3 3181x Olympians.
69245-253 have left Brad for Devon & Cornwall as part of the new Ugobus allocation at Plymouth. These have been replaced in Bradford by 66710-715 already mentioned.

That's 6 B7RLE in to replace 9 - what are they doing to cover the shortfall or is that gonna be covered by ALX400 from Leeds? Also i presume they will be short of vehicles long term whilst that B7RLE (was it 69477?) that hit that wall on sunbridge road a few weeks ago is repaired?

No they won't as such be short on Buses because they have plenty of High-Floor double deckers available plus a considerable amount of spare Gemini's as can be seen when you pass the depot on the train at peak time. I had a High-Floor Palatine II on the 72 today and there was a Royale on the 15 too so that might be something to do with a shortage of buses or none been available.
