I too was on it on Monday though! I had a friend with me and sat at the back, I also had a rucksack on! I only took it to pass the time! I couldn't stay on it all day, naff route and naff bus! I don't mind darts but the bodywork on it is awful!! Yes It was you who I saw, not striderlad!

I agree that some of the newer buses seem to have less appeal at the moment - but do remember that the Dennis Lances were never thought of very highly by most enthusiasts during their entire 14 years life in Huddersfield!

They should be still two Lances that still exist in West Yorkshire. They are: 60939 M401VWW, 60951 M413VWW. It has to be one of those. 60939 has been sat at Old Fieldhouse Lane for nearly a year.

The last six FWY Lances, all based at huddersfield were withdrawn around June/July last year. up until their withdrawal they were all in daily use. At the same time the B10 citybuses and remaining leyland olympians based there were also withdrawn. Given the length of time out of service and general age and condition of the remaining two Lances i think it would be highly unlikely they would be returned to service.

What I don't get is why are they scrapping a decent bus that won't see passenger use anyway with it been a driver trainer???

Anywhere in the UK or even WY might need an extra driver trainer

Anywhere in the UK or even WY might need an extra driver trainer I doubt it at the moment as I think First are hardly recruiting at the moment.
