Ive been asked to pass this information on as there was a thread about it some weeks ago, as promised an update. "First Leeds 61117 (8639) & 61126 (8648) have passed into private ownership 03/08/09." There appears a picture here already daniel-stazicker.fotopic.net/p59998904.htmlI know members will not want to start rumours or what, who, when`s when above is all we know. Thanks for your support & understanding. N

maybe the striders will revert originally back to the most unconfortable hard back seats!! Leave the new style seats in (the refurbished ones with the "s) and also some have small red LED lights down the middle of the bus and on the steps! Dunno if anyone remembers seing this feature when new. Do you think it would suit the blue skirt or without as delivered. Be good to have guided wheels back on!!

I wish we knew more about these, like we did with C920 FMP & Adam!

Personally I'd suggest the blue skirt version, the silver version was short lived and I think changed before the guideway actually opened

A new photo has been uploaded onto D stazicker fotopic site of 61117. daniel-stazicker.fotopic.net/p60457299.htmlAnyone know what the yellow sections are about ? I assume its a undercoat of some description, but it wouldn't be the 1st time im wrong. Anyway shes looking good, and its good to see work being carried out on her.

Possibly a requirement of sale from First that it's not kept in their livery, and a pot of yellow paint was to hand as an interim measure? Just a guess.

Hello - ive been asked to pass this info on to the group.....
(61117) 8639 L639PWR has today ( 01/09 ) passed to a Charity in the Oxford area on very long term loan from its previous " private owner " . The reason for this is twofold, a, It secures the long term future of a Superbus Strider, non pcv use often extends the life of vehicles which would otherwise be scrapped. b, It supports a worthwhile cause.
If you read anything else elsewhere... that is incorrect. Thanks should be paid to those involved.
8648 remains as previous - with no change to status.
Message ENDS
Hope of interest.

61048 and 61049 have been parked up at Bramley since the early summer. 61124/5/8 have been stored also. This week, all fleetnames and registration plates have been removed, usually this means they have been sold for scrap.
61134 remains with fleetnames, but has had the registration plate removed. There are two Dart/Dash stored still, but have been prepared for disposal. I don't have any details.

Didn't realise 61124, 25 & 28 still exsist. Have all the scania n113 striders driver trainers been withdrawn ?? Any idea who has apperently bought 61134 ? Are there still any K reg striders untouched by the scrappy ? assuming they have all gone now. Cheers

This was 61047 (I think) on Tues awaiting the arrival of PVS to haul it away for scrap which they did later that day. There was just one more M-UUB left at HP which I expect to be taken shortly. (Low resolution pic as it was taken on a mobile).

Theres one strider parked in exactly that spot at the side of the (might aswell be) withdrawn royale. The Dart has moved and there was 2 Wright Fusions parked there tonight.

What's the point of painting the fleet numbers out when they go for scrap?
